SIG Sauer M400-DH3 3-Gun competition rifle
SIG Sauer introduces the M400-DH3 semi-automatic rifle: a highly customized AR-15 variant specifically conceived for Multigun competitions, with imput from Team SIG's own champion Daniel Horner!
The SIG Sauer M400-DH3 semi-automatic direct gas impingment competition rifle is the latest and most advanced entry in SIG Sauer's own SIG M400 line of AR-15 variant rifles and carbines.
Developed and manufactured in partnership with 3-Gun shooter Daniel Horner – ten times USPSA Multigun Champion in the Tactical division, and currently a Team SIG Shooter – the SIG Sauer M400-DH3 was specifically conceived to maximize speed, reliability, performance and accuracy in 3-Gun competition.
The SIG Sauer M400-DH3 is the inaugural release under Daniel Horner’s DH3 brand in conjunction with SIG Sauer's research and development team, and is the rifle currently used by Horner in 3-Gun and multi-gun competition.
The SIG Sauer M400-DH3 features a .223 Wylde chamber, which ensures safe, accurate, and effective performance with both .223 Remington or 5.56x45mm ammunition, regardless of pressure levels.
The 16" (406 mm) fluted stainless barrel features six right-handed grooves with a 1:8" twist rate and a three-chamber compensator for recoil mitigation, and is free to float within a low-profile 3-Gun handguard with M-LOK mounts for easy accessory attachment and a top front Picatinny rail segment for flip-up front sights.
The upper receiver also features a top Picatinny rail for flip-up rear sights or optics. Both the upper and lower receiver are machined out of 7071-T6 lightweight aluminum alloy and come in a Cerakote Elite Titanium finish.
The SIG Sauer M400-DH3 semi-automatic rifle features a set of enhanced controls: the magazine release button, bolt release catch and manual safety are all ambidextrous, and were redesigned to make them easier and quicker to operate. The charging handle is likewise enhanced.
The SIG Sauer M400-DH3 rifle features a unique black aluminum competition stock, fully adjustable, and a Timney Triggers Daniel Horner Signature two-stage adjustable trigger with a flat-face trigger, manufactured out of A2 steel and 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, adjustable in between 226 grams (0.5 oz) and 1,36 kg (3 oz) approximately, both on the first and second stage.
Standing in at 876,3 mm / 34.5" in overall length and weighing in at 3,18 kg (7 lbs) when empty, the SIG Sauer M400-DH3 semi-automatic rifle feeds through STANAG 4179 compatible detachable magazines of any make, manufacture, material, or capacity.
As of today, the SIG Sauer M400-DH3 rifle is available only on the US market, at an announced manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,699, which isn't even too expensive for a high-end competition AR-15 variant. Even if you’re not taking it into a competition, you are sure to enjoy the custom features that we have put into the M400-DH3.
