Browning expands the X-Bolt Pro line of bolt-action rifles with a new Carbon variant, featuring a threaded, fluted barrel, a fluted bolt, a full Cerakote finish on all metal surfaces, and a carbon fiber stock for the best balance between light weight and rigidity
Browning International announces the expansion of the X-Bolt Pro series with the launch Browning X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded bolt-action hunting rifle, specifically designed and manufactured to reduce weight – a must-have feature for those long hunting days in the plains or the mountains! – and maximize rigidity, which is tantamount to stability and accuracy.
Browning's new X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded bolt-action hunting rifle is available in eight popular calibers – .243 Winchester, .308 Winchester, .270 Winchester, .30-06 Sprinfgield, 7mm Remington Magnum, .300 Winchester Magnum, .270 Winchester Short Magnum e 6.5 Creedmoor – and with 53 cm / 21", 56 cm / 22", 58 cm / 23" or 61 cm / 24" barrels to meet the needs and demands of all hunters and remain viable and effective on all sorts of game.
Browning's new X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded is built on a carbon fiber stock with checkered slip-proof contact surfaces on the grip and handguard, a set of sling swivel studs and an Inflex 2 recoil pad, which keeps overall weight under 2,7 kilograms (5.95 lbs) overall.
The new X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded rifle features the same action as all other models in Browning's X-Bolt series, as well as a top tang sliding safety, a bolt unlock button located just over the cocking handle, and a Super Feather Trigger offering zero take-up, minimum overtravel and creep, and a direct, crisp break.
The bolt of the X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded rifle is fully fluted to reduce weight, smoothen its operation, and provide a set of points where any dirt or external element may be pushed by the movement of the bolt without getting in the way and interfering with the operation of the rifle, or griming up and making it difficult to strip and clean afterwards.
Just like the receiver and the barrel, the bolt is manufactured out of special steel. All outer metal features come from factory with a shining, appealing Cerakote grey finish. The receiver of the X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded rifle is drilled and tapped for a Picatinny or Weaver rail or for a set of scope rings, providing multiple options for the installation of optics or other sighting solutions.
The Hunter-profile barrel of the Browning X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded bolt-action rifle is fully fluted to reduce weight and improve heat dissipation, features a protected thread at the muzzle for silencers or other similar accessories, and is available with a 1:8", 1:9,5", 1:10", or 1:12" twist rate depending on caliber. A screw-on muzzle brake is issued from factory with each rifle.
The Browning X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded feeds through proprietary detachable magazines, holding up to four rounds in all standard calibers and up to three rounds in Magnum calibers. An additional round can be kept in chamber for quicker follow-up shots.
The Browning X-Bolt Pro Carbon Fluted Cerakote Threaded bolt-action hunting rifle is sold in a cardboard box, issued with a gun lock and not much else: it's an elegant, yet practical hunting rifle, meant to be used and abused on the field with not many bells and whistles, and yet built to provide high levels of performance and reliability shot after shot, prey after prey, year after year, for decades to come, as hunters worldwide have come to expect from Browning International.
