The Chiappa Firearms 1873 SAA Tactical Grey .22 Long Rifle single-action revolver, introduced at the 2023 edition of SHOT Show, is the first in its line to feature a full tactical grey Mystikote finish; Mystikote is one of the most popular finishes for firearms today, consisting in a thin layer that offers superb resistance against scratching, corrosion, heat (well above 1.000°C, or 1,832°F) and chemicals.
The contrast between the grey finish on the receiver and barrel, the shining black finish on the six-shots cylinder, and the black polymer grips with a golden embedded Chiappa Firearms medallion make this new incarnation of the Chiappa Firearms 1873 SAA rimfire revolver most pleasing, aesthetically speaking. By all accounts, the rest of the design retains Colt’s original, familiar features, including a left side loading gate and spring-loaded manual ejector rod.
The Chiappa Firearms 1873 SAA Tactical Grey rimfire revolver features s standard blade front post sight and an integral milled sight channel on the frame; it is sold in a cardboard box, along with a fiber cleaning rod and a gunlock.
