The Winchester XPR bolt-action rifle design has been the mainstay in Winchester's line of centerfire long guns since 2015, when it was released as the Company's first bolt-action rifle in over fifty years. The success of the platform pushed the company to expand it even more with the launch of at least four new models.
Winchester's XPR Compact, Hunter, and Hunter Compact rifles are now also available in 6,5 Creedmoor, an ever-increasingly popular chambering among both hunters and sport shooters.
The Winchester XPR Hunter rifle is essentially a variant of the baseline XPR with a synthetic stock dipped in a Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camo finish, combining proven concepts from the Model 70 with more efficient manufacturing processes.
The Winchester XPR Hunter Compact features a shorter barrel and shorter length of pull for better balance and to make it more suitable for younger shooters.
The Winchester XPR Compact offers a compact size, a black polymer stock, a matte blue finish and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad.

Finally, the Winchester XPR Sporter variant will now be available with a Grade 1 Walnut stock. All the Winchester XPR rifles are built around a bar stock solid steel machined receiver and feature a button-rifled, free-floated steel barrel with a recessed target crown. The Winchester M.O.A. trigger system offers take-up, zero creep and zero overtravel for outstanding accuracy.
The bolt body features a nickel teflon finish for smoother operation and added corrosion resistance; matte black metal surfaces feature a Perma-Cote finish that minimizes glare to help prevent game-spooking reflections and protects from corrosion.
