Bronco Arms SPS-F shotgun: the SPAS-12 is back
SHOT Show 2026 – The Bronco Arms company of Turkey showcases the SPS-F shotgun: the legendary SPAS-12 reincarnated and modernized for the 21st Century
No, your eyes aren't deceiving you: what you're looking at is the reborn Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun... sort of.
The SPS-F shotgun, manufactured by Bronco Defense Industry (a.k.a. Bronco Arms) of Konya (Turkey) is a modern take on the legendary Italian tactical shotgun design of the 1980s, made to remain as faithful as possible to the original while fixing its well known drawbacks by switching to an inertia-driven semi-automatic operation manually switchable to pump-action more similar to that used by the modern Benelli M3 series, thus more finely tuned, more reliable, and most important of all, compatible with 76mm / 3" 12-gauge shotshells which the original SPAS-15 couldn't feed.
Outside of some visual differences in the grip and trigger guard, in the design of the rear portion of the receiver and its (removable) top Picatinny rail, and in the side charging handle, the SPS-F by Bronco is otherwise a perfect clone of the SPAS-12. The stamped steel ventilated barrel shroud and polymer sliding forend for pump action operation are identical; so are the sights, muzzle brake, and top-folding stock with stabilizing hook.
For restrictive jurisdictions, the Bronco SPS-F is also available in a fixed black polymer stock version without a vertical pistol grip, dubbed simply the SPS.
