Chiappa Firearms expands its rimfire rifle offering with the introduction of the M1-22 Bushranger, a .22 Long Rifle platform developed to combine traditional ergonomics with modern modular features.

The Bushranger lineup is available in multiple configurations tailored to different markets and shooting needs, and is offered in two operating systems: straight-blowback semi-automatic as a baseline, and bolt-action with button release for those Countries where civilian access to semi-automatic long guns is banned or heavily restricted.

Compared to the previous variants of the Chiappa Firearms M1-22 line – including its most radically modernized iterations – the Bushranger emphasizes simplicity, reliability, and adaptability, posing itself as a lightweight and user-friendly alternative on a very crowded market.

Barrel lengths vary by model, with configurations featuring  419 mm / 16.5" or 470 mm / 18.5" steel barrels mated to a steel bolt and an alloy receiver, allowing shooters to select a compact or extended setup depending on intended use.

All versions are conceived for recreational shooting, training, and general plinking applications, and feed from detachable single-stack 10-round magazines, ensuring quick and practical operation.

All variants of the Chiappa Firearms M1-22 Bushranger rifle come with a tubular full-length aluminum barrel shroud and a ½×28 TPI muzzle thread, allowing easy installation of any muzzle device, including flash hiders, muzzle brakes, compensators, or sound suppressors where legally available.

Additionally, for those jurisdictions and applications where sound suppressors are indeed allowed, Chiappa Firearms offers a special version of the Bushranger developed in collaboration with SAPL (a French company, now part of the Chiappa Group), based on a button-release bolt-action system and featuring a carbon-fiber barrel shroud and an integrated SAPL Micro-Adamantium suppressor to deliver a distinctive configuration that preserves the Bushranger's core identity while addressing specific market requirements.

A key element of the Bushranger platform is its focus on modularity. All models are equipped with a long, continuous Picatinny rail mounted on top of the receiver, providing ample space for optics and accessories, allowing flexible positioning of scopes or red-dot sights, and supporting a wide range of shooting styles and preferences.

Further enhancing adaptability, the Bushranger features an M-LOK interface positioned under the forend, enabling the installation of vertical grips, bipods, or other accessories. This combination of top Picatinny rail and under-forend M-LOK attachment gives the rifle a level of configurability uncommon in traditional rimfire platforms.

Furniture across the lineup consists of an oiled, painted beechwood stock with a wide forend and a prominent pistol grip, offering a solid, natural feel and a classic appearance while ensuring durability for regular use.
