Retired British SAS operator Christian Craighead, hero of the 2019 Nairobi DusitD2 complex attack crisis, was the guest of honor who fired the first shots of the 2026 Industry Day at the Range with the Steyr ATc pistol
The Steyr Arms ATc and ATd line of metal-frame, hammer-fired, 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistols debuts on the US market at the 2026 edition of SHOT Show, with a guest of honor using an ATc to fire the first shot at the Industry Day at the Range: none other than retired SAS legend Christian Craighead.
First announced back in September 2025, the Steyr Arms ATc competition pistols are available in no less than three variants with 5-inch or 6-inch barrels and numerous slide configurations, including two with deep lightening cuts and compensators; the Steyr Arms ATd pistols for service and defense are available in two variants, both with a 4-inch barrel, one of which comes with an integral compensator.
The ATc pistols are built on a machined steel frame, while the ATd pistols use aluminum receivers; all models are compatibile with numerous iron sight options, feature Picatinny rails for accessories and a micro red dot sight interface machined onto the slide, and all feed through 18, 20, or 24-rounds magazines.
