Smith & Wesson expands the vastly successful line of M&P M2.0 striker-fired semi-automatic pistols with the launch of the Metal HD and Metal HD Competitor variants.

Both built on a full-size, Armornite-finished steel frame, featuring a Picatinny rail for accessories and a set of interchangeable grip front straps and backstraps, the new Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Metal HD and Metal HD Competitor pistols are long-slide designs chambered in 9mm Luger and feeding through 17-rounds double-stack magazines – with 10-rounds variants being available for restrictive jurisdictions.

Both models feature a 5-inch barrel with a 1:10" twist rate and an Armornite finish, a flat-face trigger, an ambidextrous slide stop, a C.O.R.E. optics-ready slide, and are available optionally with a frame-mounted ambidextrous manual safety. The Metal HD pistol comes with a blacked-out serrated U-notch rear sight and a Night Fision yellow/green tritium front sight; the Metal HD Competitor sports a HiViz tritium/fiber-optic front sight, a set of heavy lightening cuts on the slide, and a magazine web funnel.
