On June 3rd, in the midst of the 2026 IPSC World Championship in Buzsák, Hungary, Beretta introduced the world to their latest dedicated semi-automatic pistol for practical shooting: the new Beretta 94X Performance represents the final version of the Italian company's competition shooting platform dedicated specifically to IPSC and USPSA disciplines.
Developed to provide natural ergonomics, superior balance and unparalleled solidity, the Beretta 94X Performance offers the levels of safety and performance required by the top shooters who take part to the highest level practical shooting competitions worldwide.
Built around a new lengthened Vertec Pro frame, featuring a flat-face trigger guard and a milled Picatinny rail for accessories, the Beretta 94X Performance pistol was redesigned for a higher grip and more natural hand positioning, while feeding through double-stack flush-fit magazines offering a staggering capacity of 20 rounds of 9mm Luger. The special geometry of the lengthened Vertec Pro frame act as an extended control lever, reducing muzzle climb and improving sighting line alignment and on-target stability for faster transitions and quicker follow-up shots – exactly what the world's top sport shooters require.
The extended grip design features an aggressive checkering for enhanced control, adaptability, and faster, more confident magazine changes under match pressure; a higher grip, in turn, translates into better comfort, control and stability during rapid-fire sessions.

The barrel of the new Beretta 94X Performance pistol is cold-hammer forged out of a new and innovative blend of steel, resulting in a significantly longer service life even under intense use conditions.
Along with a lengthened firing pin and a built-in elastomer buffer on the extractor, the 94X Performance guarantees stunning levels of repeatability and long-lasting reliability.
The grip panels, manufactured out of aluminum and featuring polymer inserts with Beretta's trident logo, are provided by Toni System – a specialist Italian company. The "Launch Edition" of the 94X Performance – a limited run to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Company's foundation – will feature a set of grip panels with a 3D-printed polymer insert with the Beretta 500th Anniversary logo.
At the core of the Beretta 94X Performance pistol is the state-of-the-art Xtreme-S SA/DA trigger system, delivering an extremely short, fast, and intuitive reset, translating every input into crisp, immediate action, while fully preserving Beretta's uncompromising safety standards.
Also featured are a set of ambidextrous low-profile safety levers that integrate seamlessly with the frame, allowing for an uninterrupted grip and more precise, confident handling under recoil. Flush in the back and wider on the front, the new levers also offer improved contact surfaces for more confident operation
The slide of the Beretta 94X Performance pistol features a set of front and rear 15-degrees slant serrations that are 30% wider and deeper than the standard, providing a better grip in all situations.
Sights-wise, the Beretta 94X Performance comes issued from factory with a fixed front sight with a 1mm red fiber optic insert, a black serrated adjustable rear sight, and a built-in micro red dot sight interface machined 3mm lower than any precedent design, further lowering the center of gravity for better recoil management and improved barrel-sight alignment, while at the same time reducing the risk of ejected spent cases impacting the sight.
At launch, Beretta will offer the 94X Performance pistol in two variants, ready right out of the box to face any competition in IPSC and USPSA Production matches
The aforementioned "Launch Edition", a celebration of Beretta's 500th anniversary, comes with its signature special grips – provided in three sizes, allowing shooters to adapt the pistol to their personal ergonomics in numerous combinations – and a full DLC finish with acid green inlays.
The baseline version will instead come with laser-etched inlays and a full graphite gray finish.
