Beretta 92X Performance Dark Series: the new practical shooting pistol made in Italy
Beretta's highly successful 92X Performance practical shooting pistol is back with a whole series of performance improvements in five brightly colored, captivating variants

Beretta announces a new version of the 92X Performance series of semi-automatic pistols, the competition-oriented variant of the legendary M-92 series first introduced at the 2019 edition of IWA and turned into the tip of the Italian company's spear in terms of practical shooting handguns.
Beretta's 92X Performance Dark Series pistols refreshen the line with several improvements in terms of operation and ergonomics, improved capacity – the baseline double-stack magazine now holds 18 rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition, but an optional configuration with extended, beveled magwell and magazine floorplate brings the total to twenty rounds – and five new brilliant models in four colors thanks to the cooperation of Italy's custom competition firearm components specialist Toni System.
All variants feature Beretta's own Xtreme S competition-oriented SA/DA trigger, a full steel construction for both the slide and the frame, and a heavier, Brigadier slide profile that adds weight to the top portion of the gun to reduce muzzle climb during rapid fire.

The new Beretta 92X Performance Dark Series pistol is built around a modern, professional-looking Vertec style frame, featuring a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for accessories machined directly on the dust cover, a rounded trigger guard, a high profile beavertail, serrated front and back straps for a firm grip in all conditions, and a highly durable Graphite Grey finish for superior resistance to scratches, corrosion, and aggressive elements.
The same Graphite Grey finish, replacing the original Nistan found in the earlier 92X Performance pistols, is also applied to the slide – which also features a 1mm fiber optic front sight; a low-profile 90-degrees, adjustable, glare-proof checkered rear sight; a machined micro red dot sight interface; and a set of aggressive front and rear sawtooth-style serrations.

Both the hammer and the firing pin of the new Beretta 92X Performance Dark Series are DLC-coated for superior durability and minimum friction. The hammer has also been redesigned to reduce travel distance and time by 30%.
The five configurations of Beretta's 92X Performance Dark Series pistols come with a set of aluminum grip panels and a matching trigger in four colors: yellow, black, red, and two blue variants. The grip panels sport a redesigned, aggressive texture for maximum shooting control.

Beretta's Xtreme-S competition trigger can be finely tuned in both overtravel and reset, reducing the latter to approximately 40%. A firing pin block safety always keeps the Beretta 92X Performance Dark Series pistol 100% drop-free regardless of the trigger settings.
The installation of a single-action only hammer, sold separately, allows the trigger to be also finely tuned for pre-travel. Trigger pull is set from factory to 1,5 to 2 kilograms (2.2 to 3.3 lbs) in single action and 3 to 3,5 kilograms (6.6 to 7.7 oz) in double action.

The beveled magazine well makes reloading easier and quicker, guiding the magazine to its seat and reducing the possibility of errors under stress, thus giving shooters a remarkable competitive advantage in timed stages.
Standing at 222 mm / 8.74" in overall length and weighing in at 1.395 grams / 3.07 lbs when empty, the Beretta 92X Performance Dark Series pistol comes from factory with a 125 mm / 4.92" long barrel and is issued with three magazines, a gun lock, a warranty certificate and a QR code that the user can scan with his or her Smartphone to access the user manual on-line.
Other features include an oversized, orientable, and reversible magazine catch for quick adaptation to any hand size and for left-handed or right-handed shooters alike; and a Match-grade disassembly latch, simplifying and speeding up field-stripping for maintenance, making quick cleaning, fixing issues and making adjustments possible on-the-go during high-intensity matches.
