New SIG Sauer P365-FUSE semi-automatic pistol
The SIG Sauer P365-FUSE is a new "Crossover" handgun, chambered in 9mm Luger and offering a staggering maximum capacity of 22 rounds, with printless concealed carry capabilities fused with the long barrel length of a service pistol
With the launch of the SIG Sauer P365-FUSE 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol on the US market on June 25, the P365 series of pistols finally goes "full circle" six years after its first official introduction in 2018 and after becoming the undisputed leader of "service micro-compact" pistols on the global markets.
SIG Sauer's P365-FUSE is a "Crossover" handgun, given its overall length, width, and frame dimensions, and is meant to provide the barrel length and capacity of a service-rated full-size pistol in a package that's easier to carry concealed with minimum effort and with close to no printing.
Like all the entries in the P365 series, SIG Sauer's new SIG Sauer P365-FUSE is a short recoil operated, striker-fired pistol built on a polymer frame, with model-specific features such as a stainless flat-face trigger and a a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for accessories molded into the dust cover.
The laser-stippled X-Grip (LXG) provides a solid grip in all conditions, even when wearing gloves, and comes with a flared magazine well for easier reloading. As with all the P365 pistols, the trigger group is actually the serialized component and is housed in a self-contained, readily removable metal chassis, allowing easier replacement of virtually all parts of the gun.
The carbon steel barrel of the new SIG Sauer P365-FUSE is 109,2 mm / 4.3" long; the stainless steel slide features a full, matte black Nitron protective finish, a series of lightening inlays on both sides, front and rear slide serrations, a serrated black rear sight, a fiber optic front sight, and a Shield RMS-c footprint micro red dot sight interface.
Ammunition capacity is what makes the SIG Sauer P365-FUSE staggering among other crossover pistols: each sample ships with a double-stack metal magazine holding seventeen rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition and two magazines holding up to 21 rounds (plus one in chamber). "Compliant" 10-rounds magazines are also available for some Countries and jurisdictions.
Standing at 182 mm / 7.2" in overall length and weighing in at 654 grams (23.1 oz) when empty, the SIG Sauer P365-FUSE is barely 12,9 cm (5.1") high and 28 mm (1.1") wide, making it easier to carry concealed.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the SIG Sauer P365-FUSE on the US market is set at approximately $720.00, but average "street price" may vary as usual; additionally, the P365-FUSE is also optionally available with a SIG Sauer Romeo-X Compact micro red dot sight issued from factory, with an MSRP of $999.00 – once again, as usual, final street price may vary.
