Crossfire HD, Defender-XL and Razor UHD: these are the name of the new products launched, one after another, by Vortex Optics all through the months of June. A new micro red dot sight for handguns, two new entries in an already well established and appreciated line of binoculars and a whole new series of spotting scopes in three magnifications and with straight or angled eyepiece versions are already available for purchase on the US market and in many other Countries, while some markets may receive them in a few more weeks.

Vortex Optics new products for Summer 2024

The Vortex Optics Crossfire HD line of spotting scopes is comprised of six entries overall, with three power factors available (20-60x80, 16-48x65, and 12-36x50), each with the user's choice of a straight or angled eyepiece.

Built around a rubberized chassis to protect against shocks and scratching and to ensure a firm hold in all situations, the Vortex Optics Crossfire HD spotting scopes feature a high-definition optical system for maximum image quality, color definition, and removal of chromatic abherrations all through the field of view.

 

The eyepiece and objective lenses are protected by a sturdy multi-layer coating, and the entire scope is nitrogen-purged and O-ring protected against dust, water, and fogging.

Other specs will vary depending on the model, but all the Crossfire HD spotting scopes equally feature an ARCA Swiss tripod interface: originally conceived for cameras and video equipment, the ARCA Swiss interface has been increasingly finding acceptance within the firearms and sport optics industries worldwide in the past few years due to its solidity and versatility.

 

MSRP for the new Vortex Optics Crossfire HD spotting scopes on the US market is set at $299.99 for the 12-36x50 models; at $359.99 for the 16-48x65 models; and at $424.99 for the 20-60x80 models

Vortex Optics new products for Summer 2024

Ideal for hunting and outdoor applications of all kinds, the new Vortex Optics Razor UHD 8x32 and Razor UHD 10x32 binoculars represent the end of compromise between size and performance: standing at less than 14,5 cm (5.7") in heighth and weighing in approximately 620 grams (21.9 oz.), the new entries in the Razor UHD line of binoculars offer both high optical performance and extreme portability, thanks to their rubberized magnesium chassis and ultra-high definition optics.

 

Built around a Schmidt Pechan prism system, with a protective ArmorTek and XR Plus anti-glare finishes on their apochromatic lenses, with a plasma coating applied on all other optical glass elements, the new Razor UHD 8x32 and 10x32 are also Argon-filled and O-ring sealed against the infiltration of water, dust, sand, or other aggressive elements.

The lockable diopter, focus dial and eyepieces can be finely adjusted to meet any user's needs; the Vortex Optics Razor UHD 8x32 and 10x32 binoculars are also tripod-compatible and come issued from factory with a GlassPak Pro binocular harness, a comfortable neck strap, a rangefinder pouch, a lens cloth, and a set of ocular and objective lens covers.

 

MSRP for the new Vortex Optics Razor UHD binoculars on the US market is set at $2,149.99 for the 8x32 model and at $2,199.99 for the 10x32 model.

The new Vortex Optics Defender-XL micro red dot sight, available with a 5 MOA or 8 MOA red dot, was conceived to provide maximum performance on competition, service, and defensive handguns, and to be compatible with both Picatinny rails and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro footprint interfaces.

 

Built around a matte, glare-proof black 7075 aluminum alloy chassis with ShockShield polymer inserts and a FastRack front window surface to protect the lens if the sight is used to rack the handgun's slide against a rough surface, the new Vortex Defender-XL features an aspheric, glare-proof coated, wide lens to maximize the field of view and thus both situational awareness and target tracking capabilities.

Powered by a single battery, the Defender-XL micro red dot sight can offer up to 25.000 hours of runtime thanks to a motion activation system and 10-minutes shutoff function.

 

The dot can be adjusted on a 115 MOA range for windage and 120 MOA for elevation, and set on ten different brightness levels, two of which (the lowest) are compatible with the use of night vision devices.
