New Hämmerli Arms rimfire pistols and carbines, from Umarex
From Umarex, a new chapter in the Hämmerli Arms line: new rimfire sporter rifles and pistols aim to return global recognition to the glorious Swiss brand
Back in March, the German UMAREX Group announced the launch of three new rimfire sporting guns under the Hämmerli Arms brand. Absorbed by UMAREX in 2006, the legendary Swiss brand now takes a fresh approach to the market, strengthened by its 150-year legacy, focusing on versatility and a comfortable shooting experience.
Three product families and numerous models developed and manufactured in Arnsberg are available to ambitious sport and recreational shooters worldwide: the Hämmerli Arms Force B1 straight-pull rifle, the Hämmerli Arms TAC R1 22C semi-automatic rifle, e la Hämmerli Arms Forge H1 semi-automatic pistol.
Chambered in .22 WMR, the Hämmerli Arms Force B1 toggle-action straight-pull sporting rifle features a proprietary, unique quick change barrel system for seamless adaptability and caliber conversion to .22 Long Rifle (along with a dedicated magazine well adapter).
Standing at 901 mm / 35.5" in overall length with a 41 cm / 16.1" barrel, and weighing in at 2,26 kg / 5.75 lbs, the Hämmerli Arms Force B1 feeds through Ruger 10/22 magazines and is available with a black polymer stock or four wooden stock variants, all with a fully adjustable buttstock.
The Hämmerli Arms TAC R1 22C .22 Long Rifle semi-automatic rifle is an extremely faithful rimfire reproduction of America's quintessential modern sporting rifle for recreational shooting or trained, feeding through single-stack 10-rounds magazines.
Built on aluminum receivers, with a 13" M-LOK aluminum handguard and a 309 mm / 16.1" barrel, the Hämmerli Arms TAC R1 22C rifle is 83 cm / 35.83" long overall, weighs in at 2,5 kilograms (89.95 oz) when empty, and comes with a polymer grip, a polymer five-positions extendable buttstock, a full-length top MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for optics and a set of flip-up sights.
The Hämmerli Arms Forge H1 .22 Long Rifle semi-automatic pistol, available in 4.¼" and 5" barrel variants, is a modernized rimfire version of the legendary Colt M1911-A1 pistol design.
Feeding through single-stack 12-rounds magazines and offering features such as an extended beavertail, front and rear slide serrations, high-visibility sights, a skeletonized trigger and hammer, and a Picatinny-railed frame for accessories, the Hämmerli Arms Forge H1 is almost entirely made out of metal (the overall weight ranges between 893 and 924 grams, or around 34 oz., when empty) and boasts an overall improved level of reliability.
