Fausti XF4 over-and-under competition shotgun
SHOT Show 2020 – While not exactly a new gun, the Fausti XF4 over-and-under competition shotgun, available in four calibers, remains the mainstay of the Italian company's line of sporting firearms
The Fausti XF4 over-and-under shotgun has been around since 2017, and yet continues to firmly hold its place as the mainstay in the Italian company's line of sporting shotguns. And for a good reason: its versatility offers every shooter the chance to compete in every clay shooting discipline with a dedicated shotgun that is both elegant and highly performing.
Available in 12-gauge, 20-gauge, 28-gauge and .410 gauge versions, the Fausti XF4 over-and-under shotgun is offered in three versions – dubbed the Gold, Platinum, and Black respectively, told apart by details such as the color of the laser-engraved markings and the presence of a round or semi-beavertailed forend.
All sporting Fausti's patented Round Body action built around a solid piece of forged, hardened and tempered steel with the Company's own, super-sturdy "Four Lock" mechanism; a full no-glare deep black finish on all metal surfaces, and a Type 3A walnut stock with an adjustable pistol grip and a rubberized recoil pad.
Compared to other, previous-generation competition shotguns, the Fausti XF4 can be told apart by its upgraded, crisp and accurate trigger that enables all shooters to complement their specific shooting dynamics.
The stock features an adjustable cheekpiece, and a set of special chokes (fixed or Fausti's own X-PRO) enhances the versatility of the shotgun.
The Fausti XF4 over-and-under shotgun is available in three barrel lengths – 71, 76 or 81 centimeters (approximately 28, 30 or 32 inches), all rocking a low-profile ventilated barrel rib and a fiber-optic front sight – and is sold in a dedicated ABS case.
