In July 2014, the Beretta company first introduced the 690 Field III over-and-under hunting shotgun – an appealing, classic design, yet packed with highly technologic features for maximum durability and performance on all hunting situations.
Now, at the 2016 edition of the Game Fair Italia – a dedicated yearly trade show that takes place in the Italian town of Grosseto – Beretta boosts its over-and-under hunting shotguns line with the new 690 Field I model.

Dedicated to the most demanding hunters, the Beretta 690 Field I over-and-under shotgun reprises most of the aesthetic features of the previous model, The Field III.
Special attention has been given to the wooden components, coupled with sober elegance of the engravings. All this matching with some very interesting features, starting from the quality of the Beretta Steelium barrels.
The Beretta 690 Field I over-and-under shotgun comes with 26”, 28” or 30” Steelium OptimaBore HP barrels – deep-drilled, vacuum-distended out of a special new-generation alloy steel to provide high accuracy and an extended service life.

The 12-gauge Beretta 690 Field I over-and-under shotgun sports 76mm/3” Magnum chambers, Beretta's proprietary Optima HP (OCHP) choke, and is proofed to safely, extensively and profitably employ steel shots.
Barely 7.38 pounds heavy, the Beretta 690 Field I over-and-under shotgun also features a peculiarly designed sliding safety lever located on the top tang, a single selective trigger, and a low-profile aiming rib.
