On October 17th, at the end of a long phase of research, development, and field testing in the most adverse and difficult environmental conditions, SIG Sauer announced the release of the new SIG Sauer CROSS Magnum bolt-action rifle on the US market.

Chambered for the powerful and versatile .300 Winchester Magnum cartridge, the new SIG Sauer CROSS Magnum further boosts the capabilities of what is considered to be one of the most innovative line of bolt-action rifles for long-range hunting, long-range precision shooting and tactical applications to have hit the market in the past decade or so.

Built around a coyote tan anodized lightweight aluminum alloy receiver, the SIG Sauer CROSS Magnum comes equipped with a 5R rifled, stainless steel 24-inch Medium Contour barrel, equipped with a proprietary flash hider installed on a 5/8-24” threaded muzzle.

The barrel is user-changeable for additional versatility, adaptability, and ease of maintenance, and is encased in a free-float, full-length aluminum handguard with M-LOK interfaces at 3, 6, 9, and 12-o’clock positions and a full-length bottom ARCA rail for bipods, tripods, counterweights, and the like.

Other features of the SIG Sauer CROSS Magnum bolt-action rifle include a forward-angle PRS-oriented pistol grip and right-side thumb rest; a side-folding SIG precision stock with fully adjustable buttpad and cheek riser; a two-stage trigger; a top MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for optics; and a 6-rounds, detachable AICS compatible magazine.

Standing at 114,8 cm (45.2”) in overall length with stock unfolded, and weighing in at a lightweight 4 kilograms (8.9 lbs) with an empty magazine, the SIG Sauer CROSS Magnum bolt-action rifle is sold at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $2,499.99 in the United States.
