It has been almost a year since its first introduction at the 2024 editions of SHOT Show and other trade shows of the civilian, hunting, and sporting guns industry, but finally on January 2, 2025, Henry Repeating Arms officially announced the availability of the Henry Lever Action Supreme Rifle on the commercial market in the United States.

Available in 5.56x45mm / .223 Remington and .300 AAC Blackout, the Henry Lever Action Supreme Rifle – or LASR for short – was designed and built to bring the classic lever-action design straight into the 21st Century, offering a reliable, solid, practical, handing and highly-performing carbine for modern hunting, survival and outdoors activities, recreational shooting, training, and as a ranch rifle to protect cattles against aggressive predators.

Entirely built by Henry Repeating Arms in Rice Lake (Wisconsin), the new LASR lever-action rifle is built around the hard-anodized black, lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum alloy receiver featuring a right side ejection window and drilled and tapped for Weaver 63B or MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails for optics.

The Henry LASR lever-action rifle comes with an adjustable Match-grade trigger, set to 1,8 kg (4 lbs) from factory; unlike most lever-action rifles, the new Lever Action Supreme Rifle from Henry lacks an external hammer, opting instead for a top tang sliding safety that makes the design completely ambidextrous and practical for right-handed and left-handed shooters alike.

The LASR features a rotating bolt with eight locking lugs ("AR-15 style"), which is perfect for the selected calibers; the quad bar linkage and slider crank mechanism at the heart of the action set a new standard for out-of-the-box lever-action smoothness.

The Lever Action Supreme Rifle from Henry Repeating Arms does without the classic magazine tube, opting instead for practical and easily available STANAG 4179 ("AR-15 type") detachable MSR magazines; each LASR rifle comes from factory with a single 10-rounds MagPul P-MAG magazine and a removable 5-rounds limiter, making it usable right out of the box even in those jurisdictions that impose limitations to the capacity of hunting firearms.

Standing at 93 cm (38.15") or 96 cm (36.65") in overall length, the Henry Lever Action Supreme Rifle comes with a conical blued steel barrel that will vary depending on the selected caliber: the 5.56x45mm / .223 Remington caliber comes with a 457 mm / 18" barrel and a 1:8" twist rate, while the .300 AAC Blackout version features a 419 mm / 16.5" barrel with a 1:7" twist rate.

The barrel is free-floating in both cases. According to Henry Repeating Arms, with the right ammunition and in optimal shooting conditions, the Lever Action Supreme Rifle is fully capable of sub-MOA accuracy.

Additonally, all barrels are threaded at the muzzle (a 5/8x24 thread for.300 BLK, 1/2x28 for 5,56mm/.223), covered by a screw-on thread protector, allowing the use of flash hiders, muzzle brakes, or sound suppressors where legally available.

Other features of the Henry Lever Action Supreme Rifle include a genuine American walnut handguard and stock, with slip-proof checkered contact surfaces and a rubberized recoil pad buttplate; a set of sling swivel studs; a fixed blade front sight; and a trapezoidal rear sight of proprietary design, fully adjustable for windage and elevation. A sight and trigger adjustment tool is also provided with each rifle.

Manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Henry Lever Action Supreme Rifle in the United States is set at $1,299.00 for both variants. For all information concerning local availability and pricing outside of the US, consult the authorized Henry Repeating Arms distributor for your Country.
