Standing at 124 mm / 4.9" in overall length, 81 mm / 3.2" in heigth, 4,8 mm / 1.9" in width, and weighing in at just 377 grams (13.3 oz.), the Vortex Veil 400 is an extremely compact and lightweight device; despite its diminutive proportions, it still features an on-board 400x300 definition, 120,000 pixels 12µm detector with a 50HZ refresh rate for sharp detail and fast hassle-free operation when scanning or tracking game.
Images are then projected on to a 1024x760 high-definition OLED display; a wide field of view (11° angular FOV, approx. 19m @ 100m or 57.8' @ 100 yds. linear FOV), along with the user's choice of three viewing modes – Balanced, Contrast, or Brush mode – and four color palettes (Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Multicolor) make the Veil 400 an excellent performer in any hunting condition.
The Vortex Optics Veil 400 thermal monocular also offers a 1x, 2x or 4x variable digital zoom – with a 2.3x base magnification that balances field of view and target ID for nighttime predator and hog hunting – and a detection range of 1,100 yards (1.005,84 meters).
Additionally, the Veil 400 features a wuick-press button video and photo capture function, saving hunts to relive and share via any handheld device or laptop or desktop computer thanks to the factory-issued USB cord, as well as an integrated compass to help you stay oriented and keep your bearings on unfamiliar terrains, no matter the weather or light conditions.
All, in a solid rubber-armored body that provides a secure, non-slip grip, a durable external protection and great waterproof, weather-proof, and shockproof capabilities. The Veil 400 is also compatible with a 1/4-20 tripod adapter, allowing use on a tripod or car window mount.
