Uberti has donated to Beretta an exclusive Winchester 1866 realized in solid silver and with a dedicated engraving, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the great Italian company.

Angelo Merlino, General Manager of A. Uberti SpA, proudly displays the Winchester 1866 "Solid Silver" donated to Beretta to celebrate the company's 500th anniversary.

A deep bond, built on history, craftsmanship, and mutual respect, has materialized in a unique collector's item. To celebrate the 500th anniversary of Fabbrica d’Armi Pietro Beretta, the renowned Uberti company—a world leader in replica historical weapons—has paid tribute to its parent company with an extraordinary gift: a special edition of the legendary Winchester Model 1866 lever-action rifle.

The uniqueness of this one-of-a-kind piece lies in its receiver. Abandoning the traditional brass that earned the original Winchester Model 1866 its famous nickname, "Yellow Boy," Uberti has crafted a receiver entirely of solid silver. The rifle's receiver, the central body that houses the weapon's firing mechanism, was milled from a solid silver ingot weighing over eight kilograms.

The Engravings of the Uberti 1866 "Solid Silver"

The engravings on the solid silver receiver of this beautiful rifle were created by Master Engraver Flavia Sanzogni and tell a story of craftsmanship and celebration, blending the ancient history of Brescia with the glorious gunmaking tradition of Valtrompia.

The Myth and the Celebration – On the right flank stands the figure of Winged Victory, the famous Roman bronze statue housed in the Capitolium in Brescia, whose bicentenary falls this year. In this reinterpretation, instead of the classic mythological shield, the deity holds the Beretta 500th anniversary logo.

The Global Embrace – The left side celebrates the company's international vocation, with two lions embracing the globe. This striking symbolism testifies to the brand's widespread presence worldwide and its undisputed leadership in the three historic pillars of Beretta production: hunting, defense, and sport shooting.

In the absolutely traditional style of historic rifles like this Winchester 1866 model made by Uberti, the symbolic engravings dedicated to Beretta are surrounded by classic floral engravings, elegantly pairing the silver of the receiver with the wood of the gun. Crafted from a selection of superior-grade walnut burl, the wood is oil-finished to enhance the wood's natural grain, creating a perfect contrast with the mirror-like sheen of the silver and the deep bluing of the octagonal barrel.

The commemorative Winchester 1866 "Solid Silver" will join the Beretta family's private collection, located in the renowned company museum. A tribute that seals an extraordinary industrial and cultural synergy, celebrating five centuries of history of a company that, from Gardone Val Trompia, has conquered the world.
