Aimpoint Micro S1 red dot shotgun sight
SHOT Show 2017 - Aimpoint introduces another entry in its line of Micro-sized red dot sights for sport shooters: the Micro S1, specifically conceived for shotguns
New for 2017 from Aimpoint – the Swedish company that's currently the biggest provider of red dot sights for civilian, law enforcement and military customers worldwide – is the Micro S-1, a small-sized 1x red dot sight specifically conceived to be used on hunting and sporting shotguns.
The new entry in the Company's "Micro" line of reduced-size sights sports a proprietary carbon fiber reinforced polymer integrated mounting system that positions the optic directly on the shotgun's sighting rib, on the lowest possible optical axis, without adding unnecessary weight.
Interchangeable adapter plates are included to accommodate most popular shotgun rib sizes, greatly enhancing hit percentage for waterfowl and upland bird hunters, as well as on the sporting clays course, and providing a compact, low-profile optic for turkey and deer shotgun hunters.
A bright 6 MOA red dot provides an optimal combination of target acquisition speed and visibility.
The Aimpoint Micro S-1 red dot sight offers a 18 mm clear aperture, unlimited eye relief, and an anti-reflex coating on optics; it is built on a semi-matte hard-anodized high strength aluminum chassis. The LED is powered by a single CR2032 3V Lithium battery and offers twelve day-time brightness settings – one of which is extra-bright.
The Aimpoint Micro S-1 red dot shotgun sight is 63 mm (2.15/32”) long, 43 mm (1.11/16”) wide, 41 mm (1.5/8”) high, and weighs approximately 100 grams (3.53 oz) with battery; this makes it one of the world's smallest and lowest-profile red dot sights for shotguns, allowing a 14 mm (9/16”) height of the optical axis for maximum accuracy.
The turrets provide highly accurate adjustment at a range of about 1 meter at 100 meters (±1 yds at 100 yds) in windage and elevation, with a 13mm per click at 10 meters or 10mm per click at 80 meters (7/16" at 100 yds); it is also water resistant against submersion up to 5 metres (15 ft.).
