Beretta proceeds steadily and on schedule with the launch of the limited commemorative models planned for 2026 meant to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the quintessential Italian gunmaker; the latest, officially introduced on June 23, is a limited edition of 150 samples of the Beretta SL3 500 Years over-and-under shotgun, available in 12-gauge and 20-gauge.
The Beretta SL3 500 Years Limited Edition celebrates five centuries of Italian gunmaking and relentless pursuit of beauty in every detail, never at the expense of reliability and performance; and it does so with refined engravings that blends English scrollwork with modern game scenes, achieved through a sophisticated combination of state-of-the-art laser engraving, rolling and meticulous hand-finishing by the master engravers of Pietro Beretta Selection.

The SL3 500 Years Limited Edition embodies the iconic design and refined engineering of the Beretta SL3, reinterpreted in a truly exclusive form.
Its distinctive sliding profile – with the receiver tail and top lever seamlessly blending into the stock through an expertly executed taper – creates a sleek, unmistakable line while naturally enhancing target acquisition.
The timeless elegance of hand-selected Grade 4 walnut is complemented by a gold-inlaid Beretta 500 Years logo on the bottom of the receiver, alongside the engraved PB Selection logo on the trigger guard.
At the heart of the Beretta SL3 500 Years Limited Edition over-and-under shotgun is proven locking system with barrels anchored by hinge pins, lower lugs and locking pins ensures flawless operation and the unrivaled reliability synonymous with Beretta.
Leaf spring hammers deliver fast, crisp trigger pulls, offering total control shot after shot.
Topping it all are Beretta's renown, 76 cm / 30" long Steelium Pro barrels, patterned after those used on the Beretta DT11, the most successful competition shotgun ever built.
Featuring an extended 450 mm triple progressive forcing cone that reaches the choke area, this advanced geometry maximizes ballistic efficiency, delivering superior terminal energy, reduced recoil, and exceptionally uniform shot patterns to make every shot count.
Each Beretta SL3 500 Years Limited Edition over-and-under shotgun is sold in a dedicated blue leather transport case, entirely hand-made at the Pietro Beretta Selection atélier, featuring a front embossed Beretta 500 logo and hand-refined leather details, padded in burgundy red wool and including a dedicated cleaning kit in a separate leather pouch.
