Cabot Guns Serenity: a new 1911 pistol masterpiece!
The Cabot Guns company, well known worldwide for their exclusive, high-grade 1911-style pistols, introduces their newest model: the Cabot Guns Serenity pistol, antonym to the Company's own Apocalypse, will be available in two variants and two calibers – with a 12-months lead time
The Pennsylvania-based Cabot Guns company just announced a new masterpiece in their collection: the Cabot Guns Serenity semi-automatic pistol. Ideally antithetical to the Company's own Apocalypse model, first introduced in 2021, the Serenity is the latest entry in the Company's vast line of damascus slide pistols, matching unprecedented solidity and resistance and unique aesthetic features to the well-known high performance levels of the Cabot Guns creations.
Cabot Guns shooters won the NRA National Pistol Championship in 2013, 2017 and 2018: in over 100-years of competition, only two civilians have taken first place overall – and both did it shooting a Cabot pistol.
The Cabot Guns Serenity pistol will be built in Full-Size and Commander variants, chambered in .45 ACP and 9x19mm, feeding from single-stack 8-rounds or 9-rounds magazines respectively. At the heart of the Serenity pistol is a deeply etched, damascus stainless steel slide, harshly sculpted by a series of acid baths and subject to a proprietary hardening process for superior quality.
Standard for the Cabot Guns Serenity pistol are the Company's own reverse dovetail front sight and ledge rear sight, both manufactured out of stainless steel. Both the Full-Size and Commander variants will also feature a high-cut, billet 416 steel frame with an integrated MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail.
The front strap and the mainspring housing feature a slip-proof, 24LPI rhombus cut; components such as the grips, the magazine release catch, the scalloped slide stop and the manual frame-mounted safety are all machined out from solid billet – and just like the rest of the pistol, all wrapped in a blanket of silver thanks to the 416 stainless steel used for every component.
Other features of the Cabot Guns Serenity pistol include a skeletonized hammer and a flat serrated trigger set between 3.5 to 4 lbs (1,5/1,8 kg) in weight; a goot set of Cabot Guns Big Bang cocking slide serrations; a polished feed ramp; and a lowered and flared ejection port for additional reliability.
All Cabot Guns Serenity pistols feature a 4.¼" (10,79 cm) or 5" (12,7 cm) Match Grade, crown cut, stainless steel barrel and a Cabot Guns billet barrel bushing. All barrels are hand-fit; extended, threaded barrels for compensators, sound suppressors or other muzzle accessories are also available as optionals.
As all Cabot Guns 1911 pistols, the Serenity guarantees a superb level of accuracy – 1.5"/3,8 cm or better groups at 25 yards (22,86 meters) – and it can be ordered with a wide array of optional features including an extended magazine well, Cabot Guns red dot mount with serrated front sight for RMR footprint sights, ambidextrous manual safety, and much more. Each Serenity pistol comes issued with a gun lock and a bushing wrench.
The Cabot Guns Serenity pistol is already available for preorder on the Cabot Guns website at a base price of $8,495.00 – with a deposit of $2,123.75 per item required. Pretty steep, but as we all know, Cabot Guns pistols aren't your average 1911, and are not made for your average guy. The current lead time for the Serenity is 12 to 18 months.
