Armytek Wizard C2 Pro multipurpose LED flashlight
Lightweight, compact and powerful, Armytek's Wizard C2 Pro LED angled flashlight gets all your bases covered: from bicycling to outdoors, from search and rescue to law enforcement purposes, if you need a do-it-all tool, look no further!
The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro LED flashlight is one of the latest entry in the vast Armytek product line. The design and technical features of the Armytek Wizard C2 Pro enable thisn small, lightweight angled flashlight capable of covering most bases when it comes to professional and utility uses.
The versatility of this small product shatters the preconception about angled flashlights as not versatile, almost outdated products, no longer viable as tactical or professional illumination tools for today's needs and standards despite having been conceived for military purposes to begin with (American soldiers carried angled flashlight as early as during World War II, and their popularity boomed after they were popularized as a standard GI gear piece during the Vietnam war).
The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro is manufactured out of black, Type III 400HV hard anodized, machined lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, and features a TIR total internal reflection lens that maximizes the performance of the single Cree XHP50.2 LED. The result is a 131 m (143.25 yds) throw, with a 70-degrees hotspot, a wide, 120-degrees spill, and a 2500lm maximum output.
The design and profile of the 20,4 mm / 0.8" diameter body of the Wizard C2 Pro were specifically conceived to enhance heat dissipation. The flashlight is powered through a single, 3500 mAh 18650 type battery, hosted inside the main body and accessible by unscrewing the tailcap.
A magnetic base is integrated on the tailcap itself to accommodate a magnetic USB charger that will recharge the battery at double the speed of a standard, outlet-based battery charger. The tailcap also dubs as a magnetized tailstand, allowing the Wizard C2 Pro to be used as a reading or work light by securing it to any metal surface, in any position. The extremely light weight will make sure it won't slip away or fall.
The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro LED flashlight is available in two different versions – hot light and white light – both offering twelve different modes, all accessible through the rubberized orange button located on one sight of the angled 33 mm / 1.29" head.
A good number of modes is pre-set so that the Wizard C2 Pro can be used effectively right out of the box, but the user can set many other modes manually by unscrewing the tailcap by 1/4 when the flashlight is off, pressing and holding the activation button, and then tightening the tailcap again. The advanced operation gives access to several mode cycling options and to additional choices for the strobe and turbo modes.
The embedded electronics of the Armytek Wizard C2 Pro LED flashlight provide for 2 hours 40 minutes of runtime with the 2500 lm Turbo mode on – which will, by default, reduce to 650 lm after 30 seconds to avoid overheating – and up to 200 days of continuous runtime in the lower-power Firefly mode.
The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro LED flashlight comes issued with a steel clip for daily pocket, belt or collar carry, providing law enforcement and private security personnel with a powerful and convenient additional source of light that will keep both hands free; also included with each Wizard C2 Pro is a headmount for spelunking, outdoors, manual works, and search & rescue personnel; a bycicle mount; and of course a battery, a magnetic USB battery charger, two spare O-rings, and the user manual.
Standing at 11,2 cm / 4.4" in overall length and weighing barely 65 grams (2.29 oz) without a battery, the Armytek Wizard C2 Pro is one of the lightest and most compact angled flashlights – a marked improvement even over Armytek's own, similar, previous Tiara A1 model. It is also IP68 certified to resist drops and water submersion up to 10 meters (32.8 ft), and to remain perfectly operational at temperatures ranging between -25 and +40° centigrades (-13° / 104° F).
Sure, it can't be adapted to be used as a weaponlight, but it was never meant for that – you can't always get everything. But if you're looking for a flashlight that will get all your other bases covered... look no further. The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro comes at a street price of about 85 USD.
