New ammunition from Barnes Bullets
SHOT Show 2019 – Barnes Bullets expands its existing products lines adding several new hunting and sport shooting loads and components
Barnes Bullets expands its Precision Match, VOR-TX LR and Match Burners lines with the addition of new entries for the discerning hunter or competition shooter that follow the current market trends in terms of popular calibers and loads.
New in the Match Burners line of competitively-priced, lead-core reloading bullets are the 6mm /.243” and 6,5mm entries, available in 100-pieces and 500-pieces boxes.
The new 132 gr 6mm and 120 gr and 140 gr 6,5mm Match Burners offer a best-in-class, Doppler-verified ballistic coefficient, with sub-MOA accuracy ensured by tight tolerances held strictly through production to ensure consistency.
Both loads will stabilize properly with fast barrel rifling twists – 1:8” or faster for the 6mm – to provide high performance at the range and on the field.
The Barnes Precision Match line of competition-oriented ammunition grows of a new entry this year with the introduction of a .300 AAC 125 gr OTM load. The Precision Match line is engineered by Barnes for precision at extreme distances, with exact manufacturing and tight quality standards resulting in low standard deviation and extreme variations.
Offering features such as first-quality brass; clean-shooting match-grade priming; and temperature-stable propellants for consistent performance and velocity even in extreme conditions, currently the Barnes Precision Match line offers nine entries, including popular calibers such as 5,56x45mm; .308 Winchester; 6mm Creedmoor; .300 Winchester Magnum; .338 Lapua Magnum; 6,5 Creedmoor; and .260 Remington.
Last, but by no means least, the Barnes VOR-TX LR line of long-range hunting ammunition has been expanded of two new entries: .30-06 Springfield 175 gr and 6mm Creedmoor 95 gr, both loaded with the critically acclaimed Boat-Tail Long Range X-Bullet from Barnes, offering an optimized profile for low drag and top accuracy, and temperature-stable propellants for low extreme spreads and standard deviations.
Owing to a re-engineered nose cavity that provides a wide range of workability at any distance, this all-copper bullet opens instantly on impact into four razor-sharp petals to plow a wide wound channel and deposit massive amounts of energy through the entire length of the cavity.
High weight retention sustains bullet momentum to create long wound channels for maximum destruction of tissue, bone and vital organs, and achieve effective, clean and painless long-distance first-shot kills.
