SAPL SL50: the one-size-fits-all sound suppressor
SAPL introduces the SL50 modular sound moderator for calibers up to .30, combining sound suppression, recoil control, adaptability and simplified maintenance in one compact system
Created by SAPL – a Chiappa Group company – hunters, sport shooters and professional users in markets where sound suppressors are legally permitted, the SL50 is built around a monobloc system that allows easy disassembly and maintenance.
Its modular design allows adaptation of the very same suppressor to different firearms for calibers up to .30, through dedicated modules and interchangeable thread adapters.
The SL50 is available in two main configurations: the Standard Module offers a compact and lightweight setup, with a length of 180 mm (7.08"), a weight of 400 g (14.1 oz) and a noise reduction of 30 to 33 dB with supersonic cartridges. It mounts by barrel-end threading and is suitable for firearms with or without sights.
The Wrap-Around Module provides an extended configuration with increased sound reduction, reaching 35 to 36 dB with supersonic cartridges. It measures 240 mm (9.44") in length, weighs in at 490 grams (17.28 oz) and uses a wrap-around 8 cm / 3.14" mounting system, combined with barrel clamping and threading. This variant is suitable for firearms without sights and barrels up to 22 mm in diameter.
A dedicated range of multi-thread adapters further increases the system’s versatility, allowing the SL50 to be used across multiple firearms. Available threads include M13x100, M14x100, M15x100, M16x100, M17x100, M18x100, 5/8”x24 UNEF, ½"x20 UNF and ½”x28 UNEF.
