Taurus Expedition bolt-action hunting rifle
SHOT Show 2024 – Taurus introduces its first bolt-action rifle: the Taurus Expedition, a lightweight rifle designed for hunting in harsh terrains
The Taurus Expedition bolt-action rifle represents the first foray in this field for a company otherwise best known for its line of pistols and revolvers. Built around the tried-and-true Remington 700 action and a 18-inch hammer-forged, threaded barrel, both with a black DLC finish, the Taurus Expedition is available in .308 Winchester, with 6.5 Creedmoor options reportedly coming soon.
The Taurus Expedition rifle features a scalloped cut synthetic stock, designed to make the gun rest perfectly in gun saddles. An M-LOK attachment point and an integrated Spartan Precision attachment point for slings, bipods, or accessories are provided. The Taurus Expedition rifle feeds through 5-rounds detachable AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System) compatible magazines, and its receiver is drilled and tapped for scopes.
Standing at 37.92" (963 mm) in overall length, the Taurus Expedition bolt-action rifle weighs in at 7.05 lbs (3,19 kg) when unloaded, thus being both lightweight and short enough to be carried and handled effortlessly even on the harshest hunting terrains.
MSRP for the Taurus Expedition bolt-action rifle on the US market is set at $984.99.
