The POF Tombstone 9mm Luger lever-action carbine, showcased by Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF-USA) at the 2023 edition of SHOT Show, is probably the closest thing, in form and function, to the very same concept of a “21st Century lever-action rifle”.
Conceived as an all-rounder for utility, defensive, training, plinking, sport shooting and hunting purposes, the POF Tombstone lever-action carbine is built around an aluminum alloy receiver and features a lightweight, fluted 419 mm / 16.5” long 4150 steel barrel, with a massive two-port muzzle brake screwed on to a 1/2×28 muzzle thread – which allows its quick removal and replacement with other muzzle devices, including sound suppressors where legally available.

The POF Tombstone lever-action carbine feeds through the same 10-rds or 20-rds proprietary double-stack magazines used by POF-USA’s own Phoenix pistol, and comes with a MagPul SGA buttstock and POF’s MRR M-LOK 10.5” handguard. Other features include an oversized charging handle, a cross-bolt manual safety, and a set of XS Ghost Ring sights. MSRP for the US market is set at $1,962.00 for the black version and $2,097.00 for the flat dark earth version.
