Colt's new King Cobra .357 Magnum revolver
SHOT Show 2019 – Another chapter is marked in Colt's long history of success as the Company makes a great comeback in the field of .357 Magnum revolvers: meet the new King Cobra!
Two years after Colt’s successful re-entry into the double-action revolver market in 2017 with the Cobra series of .38 Special revolvers, and marking Colt's staunch will to retake by force a market category they once dominated, snake number two has arrived: the all-new Colt King Cobra .357 Magnum double-action revolver has been showcased at the 2019 SHOT Show.
The all-new King Cobra features American Stainless Steel construction, a heavy duty frame with a full-lug 3-" barrel, and the 6-round capacity that differentiates Colt small frame revolvers from the competition. The King Cobra also features the same user-replaceable front sight and Linear Leaf spring trigger (LL2TM) as the rest of the Cobra family.
«Our customers started asking for a .357 version of our Cobra immediately after the release, and at that moment we knew we had to prioritize this great addition to the Cobra family», said Justin Baldini, Product Director at Colt.
«We couldn’t be more excited to add the power of .357 Magnum back into Colt’s Double Action Revolver lineup».
It has been two years, now, that Colt has announced a comeback of the "Snake" line of revolvers. Many enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting for a new Python: still no specific word about that, in case you're wondering, but we may be getting closer.
What's for certain is that the King Cobra secures a new place in the legendary heritage that makes Colt double action revolvers some of the hottest collectible firearms today. The Colt King Cobra will be available in the United States in January 2019 through Colt stocking dealers.
