Introduced on the US market by Taurus USA – the north American subsidiary of the Brazilian Forjas Taurus group – in the last week of September 2024, the all new Taurus 22TUC .22 Long Rifle semi-automatic pistol is a subcompact, pocket-sized defensive rimfire handgun, characterized by its diminutive size and weight and relatively high capacity for deep concealed carry, particularly as a backup weapon.

A modernization of some of Beretta's most iconic tip-up barrel pocket pistol designs of the 20th Century such as the 950 Jetfire, 21A Bobcat and 3032 Tomcat, The all-new Taurus 22TUC is built around an all-polymer black frame and is available in two variants (Black and Stainless) with respectively a matte black or matte stainless slide and barrel.

The new Taurus 22TUC pistol feeds via a single-stack 9-rounds magazine, and thanks to the tip-up barrel design – easily opened via the lever located on the left side of the frame, just above the magazine release catch – it can easily fit a tenth round in chamber and just as easily be unloaded in total safety without requiring the slide to be racked or the trigger pulled.

The Taurus 22TUC comes without a manual safety: the double-action only, bobbed hammer 4,5-5 kg. approx. (10-12 lbs) trigger is by itself a solid guarantee of safety against accidental discharges.

Standing at 12,7 cm / 5" in overall length, and coming with a 6 cm / 2.5" barrel and six right-hand grooves with a 1:10" twist rate, the new Taurus 22TUC weighs in at barely 283 grams (10 oz.) when unloaded, and features a set of built-in fixed sights, including a blaze orange front sight.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the new Taurus 22TUC pistol on the U.S. market is set at $339,99 for the black variant and $348,99 for the stainless variant.
