Springfield Armory Echelon Pro line of striker-fired pistols
Officially announced on the US market on October 13, the Springfield Armory Echelon Pro line of 9mm Luger, semi-automatic striker-fired pistols expands the Echelon series adding a distinctive set of enhanced features – including a built-in compensator – to the modularity and adaptability that have defined the Echelon series ever since its first introduction in July 2023.
Manufactured in Croatia for Springfield Armory by HS Produkt, the Echelon Pro line of pistols builds on the proven foundation of the fully ambidextrous Echelon platform with a performance-focused collection of features that make it ideal for personal and home defense, sport shooting, duty and tactical purposes, and is available at launch in three variants: 4.0C compact, featuring a 4-inch / 10,16 cm barrel and a short grip for improved concealment; 4.0FC hybrid, featuring the same barrel length paired to a longer grip for better control; and 4.5F full size, built around a full-size frame and grip and a 4.5" / 11,43 cm long barrel.

The Echelon Pro pistols are based on Springfield Armory's robust Central Operating Group – a self-contained trigger group hosted in a serialized, easily removable chassis that legally represents the firearm, allowing all other components to be swapped with little legal hassle.
New to the Echelon Pro is a Springfield Armory Badlands slip-proof texture on the polymer frame and grip. The integrally compensated slide assembly is finished in Springfield Grey Cerakote. A machined steel flared magwell, stainless steel guide rod, tritium front sight with an orange luminescent ring, and three included extended double-stack metal magazines with polymer floorplates round out the package.

The Echelon Pro’s LightForged Grip Texture is obtained by using precision lasers to sculpt and reform the surface of the grip module, creating a highly defined texture reminiscent of custom stippling with greater consistency and control.
The process allows precise shaping of texture geometry and placement across the grip for a refined, repeatable surface with excellent traction and a premium feel. The Echelon Pro debuts this technology with the Badlands pattern, an aggressive "cracked-earth" texture engineered for confident grip and control.
The Springfield Armory Echelon Pro 4.0C compact model is 7.4" / 18,79 cm long overall, weighs in 23 oz (652 grams) and comes with three 18-round extended magazines. The hybrid sized 4.0FC shares the same overall length as the 4.0C, tips the scales at 24 oz (680 grams) when empty, and comes issued with three 20-rounds magazines.
Finally, the Springfield Armory Echelon Pro 4.5F full-size model is 8" (20,32 cm) long overall, tips the scales at 25 oz (708 grams) when empty, and is issued with three 20-rounds magazines. All three models come with removable flared magwells to allow the use of flush-fit magazines from previous Springfield Armory Echelon models.
The final common feature found on all the Springfield Armory Echelon Pro pistols is Springfield Armory's patent-pending Variable Interface System: a universal micro red dot mount machined right on top of the slide, between the rear sight and the ejection window, that allows the installation of over thirty different footprint optics to be installed directly without adapter plates – just using a set of interchangeable pins.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price for all Springfield Armory Echelon Pro pistols on the US market is set at $899.
