Diamondback Firearms DBX 5.7x28mm pistol, soon in Europe from Prima Armi
Prima Armi of Italy announced the imminent European availability of the Diamondback Firearms DBX 5.7x28mm caliber pistol – a brand new sporting and personal defense firearm just recently introduced on the US market
The Diamondback Firearms DBX 5.7x28mm caliber pistol – a brand new sport shooting and personal or property defense handgun, freshly introduced on the US market at the 2020 SHOT Show last January – will soon be available on the European markets, thanks to the Prima Armi company that anticipated its arrival yesterday with a suggestive post on its official Facebook page.
Headquartered in northern Italy, the Prima Armi company already distributes Diamondback Firearms handguns, rifles and carbines in Europe. The brand new DBX, chambered for one of the hottest calibers of the modern day, has definitely all it takes to appeal to today's tactical aficionado.
The Diamondback DBX is a locked-breech, semi-automatic pistol operating through an innovative double gas piston system; featuring a 20,3 cm / 8" barrel with a 1/2-28RH threaded muzzle and a factory-issued removable muzzle device, the DBX is built around on two hard-coat anodized 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy receivers, and comes with an M-LOK compatible, 6061 aluminum alloy handguard. A MagPul handstop kit is issued from factory.
The Diamondback Firearms DBX pistol feeds through 20-rounds, double-stack FN Five-seveN pistol magazines; the magazine release button is located on the right side of the lower receiver. The DBX mounts a standard AR-15 MIL-SPEC trigger group and comes with a manual safety on the left side, but is compatible with ambidextrous safety switches; the cocking handle, located on the upper receiver, is reversible for left-handed or right-handed use. The Diamondback DBX is compatible with AR-15 type pistol grips and comes with a MagPul MOE-K grip.
The Diamondback Firearms DBX pistol comes without factory-issued sights; a full-length top MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail allows the user to install any back-up, flip-up sights or optical sights that will suit his or her needs. A shorter, rear Picatinny rail is meant for the installation of the factory-issued folding armbrace conceived for the US market, but the regulations in effect in other Countries may allow the use of stocks without having to go through the red tape required in the United States for an SBR.
The Diamondback DBX pistol is 41 cm / 16.1" overall and weighs approximately 1,36 kilograms (3 lbs) without an armbrace or stock; future versions to be manufactured by Diamondback Firearms will be compatible with Ruger-57 pistol magazines. As of today, Prima Armi is yet to disclose any information related to delivery dates and retail pricing; we will keep you posted.
