Beretta announces the expansion of the APX-A1 line of semi-automatic polymer frame, striker-fired pistols with the launch of the APX-A1 model, designed and built to reduce muzzle climb to a minimum and allow faster target reacquisition while retaining a familiar, captivating, and distinctive look and feel.

The built-in compensator on the barrel and slide, the factory-issued high-capacity magazines and oversized controls make the Beretta APX-A1 Ported faster and more accurate in instinctive shooting, and as controllable and versatile as any high-stake situation may ever need.

Additionally, the Beretta APX-A1 Ported retains all the functional and ergonomic improvements of the APX-A1 design over the baseline APX pistol, and remains compatible with a vast majority of holsters and accessories offered for the full-size APX and APX-A1 pistol variants by either Beretta or third-party manufacturers.

The built-in compensator makes the Beretta APX-A1 Ported ideal for sport shooting, particularly IPSC, USPSA or IDPA competitions; its familiar layout, controllability, high volume of fire and fast target reacquisition capabilities, however, also make it perfect for defensive, duty, and tactical applications by civilians, private security, law enforcement and military operators alike.

At the time of writing, the Beretta APX-A1 Ported pistol is available in three color variants: full black, full flat dark earth, and bi-tone with a matte black slide and an olive drab green frame.

All variants are chambered in 9mm Luger and come issued from factory with three double-stack metal magazines with polymer floorplate: two 17-rounders, one extended 21-rounder. 10-rounds magazines come issued with the samples sold in restrictive jurisdictions.

All variants come from factory with a 108 mm / 4.¼" barrel, featuring a top precision-cut compensation port on top close to the muzzle. The slide features a total of seven comp slots – two on each side, three on top.

The slide of the APX-A1 also features a set of deep front and rear slide serrations, a serrated blacked-out rear sight, high-visibility blaze orange front sight, and an optics interface machined behind the ejection port that will accept most micro red dot sights via a set of replaceable adapter plates.

The reinforced polymer frame features a three-slot Picatinny rail for accessories, an extended beavertail, a serrated combat trigger guard with raised undercut for a higher grip, an oversized ambidextrous slide stop lever and reversible magazine release.

Finally, a full Aquatech Shield coating on the slide and barrel enhances durability while improving resistance to corrosion and chemicals.
