Aimpoint AB holds yearly training events for the sales people in all countries where Aimpoint optics are distributed. GUNSweek attended the Italian event, organized in collaboration with Diamant, the official distributor of Aimpoint products in Italy.

Why the Training Days?
It's not just the final user who needs to master both knowledge and the best and most up-to date techniques for a product; the so-called "sales force" − retailers and distributors, most notably − are also in the "need to know", in order to better address the needs of their customers and direct their choices towards the best available product.
That's why Aimpoint AB − the Swedish company known worldwide for its line of military- and civilian-oriented red dot gunsights − organizes yearly dedicated Aimpoint Training Days in every Country where its products are sold.
The dedicated Aimpoint Training Day for Italy was held this year at the shooting range owned and operated by professional shooter Raniero Testa in Fontana Liri (near Frosinone, Italy); a multiple-times world record holder, Raniero Testa is an official Winchester/Browning top shooter who regularly uses Aimpoint red dot gunsights on his semi-automatic rifles in his exhibition shooting.

The participants to the 2016 Aimpoint Training Day − organized in collaboration with DIAMANT S.r.l., official distributor of Aimpoint sights in Italy for both commercial and Military/Law Enforcement sales − saw guests learn and master the use of red dot sights with Browning BAR centerfire semi-automatic rifles against fixed and moving targets alike.
While the entire Aimpoint product line was there to study and master, a special attention was dedicated to the Aimpoint Micro H2 small-sized red dot sight. Introduced in the year 2015 and now available in versions with a 2 MOA and a 4 MOA illuminated dot, the Micro H2 is Aimpoint's most recent sporting, hunting, and tactical purposes red dot gunsight. Extremely compact and lightweight (93 grams without mount and 136 grams with mount and flip-up lens covers), the Aimpoint Micro H2 comes with an integral Weaver- and Picatinny-style base allows easy attachment.
The Aimpoint ACET battery technology allows 50,000 hours of operation on one single commercial CR2032 battery. A wide array of mounts and dedicated versions are available for the use of the Micro H2 (and other models) Aimpoint red dot sight with many popular hunting, sport shooting, defensive, tactical, and military or Police-oriented firearms.
