Schmidt & Bender EXOS 3-21x50 and PM II 1-8x24 Shortdot Dual CC riflescopes
SHOT Show 2019 – Schmidt & Bender showcased the latest entries in its vast line of hunting and tactical riflescopes, respectively the EXOS 3-21x50mm and the PM II 1-8x24 ShortDot Dual CC
Schmidt & Bender had the latest entries in their vast riflescopes catalogue on display at the 2019 edition of the NSSF SHOT Show. More specifically, the Schmidt & Bender EXOS 3-21x50 riflescope adds up to the Company’s line of hunting scopes, while the (albeit not super-new) Schmidt & Bender PM II 1-8x24 ShortDot Dual CC riflescope is their latest in terms of tactical, military, Police and MSR scopes.
The Schmidt & Bender EXOS 3-21x50 is a beefed-up version of the already well-established EXOS 1-8x24 riflescope first introduced a few years ago. Built around a machined, single-piece, hard-anodized black 34mm tube, the Schmidt & Bender EXOS 3-21x50 riflescope features a second focal plane D7 reticle adjustable on eleven different illumination levels for use on any environmental lighting conditions – even in broad daylight – as well as on any distance, from extreme close-range to the maximum allowed by the 21 magnification, perfect for hunting use.
The S-Spring Technology developed by Schmidt & Bender stands for a precise and repeatable bullet drop compensation (BDC) with precise tactile clicks, while an integrated locking mechanism excludes unintentional adjustment. The reticle illumination system features an automatic shut-off function to save battery life.
The Schmidt & Bender PM II 1-8x24 ShortDot Dual CC riflescope represents the latest development of the proven Police Marksman line of riflescopes used by law enforcement and military units, as well as by demanding sport shooters, all around the world. A technologically advanced riflescope like not many others, the Schmidt & Bender 1-8x24 ShortDot Dual CC model offers a true 8x zoom, as well as a true 1x power setting. At 1x setting, it is an ideal both eyes open optical sight. When zoomed to 8x, the operator can easily identify and engage distant targets.
The Schmidt & Bender PM II 1-8x24 ShortDot Dual CC riflescope incorporates a first focal plane MIL-DOT based reticle for accurate ranging and compensation for hold-offs, hold-under, and hold-over. It offers an adjustable intensity illumination in the form of a distinctive and highly visible center dot in the second focal plane. The elevation and windage turrets are lockable to protect the zero position against unintentional adjustment.
These combined features create the most advanced multi-purpose close combat and mid-range day scope design. The 1-8x24 PM II™ ShortDot™ Dual CC offers the shooter a strong advantage from their riflescope, as it serves as both a reflex sight for close quarter combat and a riflescope for short to medium distances. In turn, this allows for fewer devices to be placed atop the firearm.
