ZeroTech Optics introduces the Trace X 5-25x56 FFP line of riflescope, available with three MOA or MRAD based first focal plan reticles
ZeroTech Optics Trace X 5-25x56 FFP high-performance riflescopes
Officially unveiled on October 13, the Trace X 5-25x56 riflescopes from Australian manufacturer ZeroTech Optics offer a dependable solution for hunting applications requiring precise, flat-shooting performance at extended ranges, such as mountain hunting, as well as Long Range sport shooting and PRS and NRL Hunter competitions.
All three share the same optical platform, but each configuration is tailored to a different approach to reticles and ballistic compensation.
The lineup comprises the Trace X 5-25x56 FFP RMG-H MRAD Illuminated, the Trace X 5-25x56 FFP RMG-H MOA Illuminated, and the Trace X 5-25x56 FFP RMG 3 Illuminated.
All variants boast a 5-25x magnification range, a 56mm objective lens, and an illuminated first focal plane (FFP) reticle, housed in a 34mm single-piece tube manufactured out of matte black hard-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum alloy.
All optical glass elements are fully multi-coated, and all models are IPX7 ratied to resist immersion in water up to one meter (3,28 ft) in depth for 30 minutes.

The two RMG-H versions differ primarily in their adjustment range, but both incorporate a mechanical zero stop, allowing shooters to return quickly to their established zero after dialing elevation corrections.
The MRAD model offers a 34 MRAD elevation range and a 17 MRAD windage range, finely adjustable through 0.1 MRAD-per-click turrets. The MOA version features ¼-MOA-per-click turrets and offers a 116 MOA elevation adjustment range and 58 MOA of windage adjustment range.
The third configuration, dubbed the the Trace X 5-25x56 FFP RMG 3, pairs an illuminated MRAD reticle with turrets calibrated in the same unit of measurement. Its defining feature is a vertical scale extending to 30 MRAD, complemented by horizontal and vertical references that allow shooters to hold for elevation and windage directly on the reticle, without having to dial every correction. Two 0.1 MRAD-per-click turrets allow fine windage and elevation adjustment on 17 MRAD and 34 MRAD range respectively.
The first focal plane design ensures that the reticle's size remain consistent throughout the 5-25x magnification range. Shooters can therefore use its references at any magnification without having to select a specific power setting. Reticle illumination also helps with target acquisition and reticle visibility against dark or low-contrast backgrounds.
Optical specifications include a field of view of 7.5 meters at 5x and 1.5 meters at 25x, measured at 100 yards (91.44 meters).
Parallax is adjustable from 22 yards (20 meters) to infinity, while diopter adjustment ranges from -3 to +2 and features a locking ring. Eye relief measures 3.82 inches (97mm). All three models weigh in at 893 grams (31.5 ounces).
Standard equipment includes a set of lens covers, Allen keys for the mounting screws, and an instruction manual. The RMG 3 version additionally comes with a microfiber cloth, a card featuring a QR code linking to the instruction manual, and ZeroTech vinyl stickers.
The entire range is backed by ZeroTech's Triple-A Lifetime Warranty, which is fully transferable and does not require proof of purchase.
