Vortex introduces the Venom 5-25x56 high-performance riflescope for hunting, competition shooting and tactical long-range engagements, available with an etched, first-focal plane Venom EBR-7C reticle in MOA and MRAD variants
Vortex Optics – one of America's best known and most dynamic manufacturers and dealers in sports and tactical optics for hunting, shooting competitions, military, law-enforcement and defensive applications – announced a new entry in their already vast catalog of high-power, high-performance riflescopes on May 27th, with the launch of the Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP riflescope.
The new Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP riflescope is a high magnification range tool conceived to be and remain competitive on today's dynamic and crowded market without compromising on manufacturing quality, features and performance, making up for a perfect out-of-the-box solution for law enforcement operators, for the most demanding hunters, and for those sport shooters who may want to approach higher levels in long-range shooting competitions with an effective instrument that will meet and exceed expectations without breaking the bank.
The new Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP is built around a 34 mm lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum alloy tube protected by a military-grade, matte black hard-anodized finish; optical glass lenses and all other optical products also sport Vortex's well known, multi-surface protective coating and other treatments that improve light transmission, color and image quality.
Tne new Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP riflescope is 388 mm / 15.¼" long and weighs in at 992 gr / 35 oz.; offering a 4" - 3.7" (102 - 93mm) eye relief and a field of view of 4° to 0.9° (21' / 6,4 m to 4.7' / 1,39 m @ 100yds) depending from the zoom factor, the Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP also allows for fast passage from the basic 5x to the higher 25x factor, thanks to the dedicated eyepiece-mounted dial.
The glass-etched, first focal plane, non-illuminated Venom EBR-7C reticle will change overall size with changes in magnification, while its subtensions will remain constant at all magnifications, making it extremely easier for the shooter to compensate for ballistic drop or for change in target distance – such as, so to speak, when dealing with a moving target.
Two versions of the Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP riflescope are available, with EBR-7C reticles in MOA or MRAD -based variants. All versions feature a separate parallax adjustment turret – offering a 15 yards to infinite adjustment setting – and a set of tactical windage and elevation adjustment turrets featuring the RevStop Zero System for a fast, accurate and reliable return to zero in case of accidental loss or sudden change in shooting conditions.
The MOA reticle model offers ¼ MOA adjustment graduations, 25 MOA per revolution, and an overall adjustment range of 85 MOA in both windage and elevation; the MRAD retcle variant comes instead with 0.1 MRAD adjustment graduations turrets, offering an adjustment range of 10 MRAD per revolution and a total adjustment range of 25 MRAD.
The RevStop Zero System function is provided by an add-on turret cap that can be attached to, or removed from, the windage or elevation turret; its presence or absence will cause variations in the overall adjustment range available. Other accessories coming from factory with every single Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP riflescope include a 5" sunshade and a clip-on throw lever that can be secured to the magnification dial with an issued hex screw and wrench to allow for a lightning-fast navigation between the various zoom factors.
The Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP riflescope is nitrogen-purged to provide a virtually indefinite resistance to fogging, and is IPX-7 certified for resistance against shocks, drops, and infiltration of water – even when submerged. The riflescope is compatible with a wide array of mounting solutions, including Vortex Optics' own rings and mounts, all sold separately.
The Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP riflescope is currently available on the U.S. market at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 699.99$ for both variants; prospective international customers should reach out to the Vortex importers and distributors in their respective Countries for additional information concerning local availability and pricing.
