The Strike Eagle 1-10x24 FFP riflescope made its official debut on the north American market in mid-March 2026 as the latest entry in the vast Vortex Optics catalog of low-power variable optics dedicated to competition shooting and tactical applications – both civilian defensive purposes and duty uses by law enforcement agencies.
Conceived mainly for use on semi-automatic long guns with top Picatinny rails – such as the AR-15 platform and other modern sporting rifles and carbines – the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-10x24 FFP is built around a single-piece 30mm low-glare matte black anodized tube, itself machined from a single piece of lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, and comes with a first focal plane EBR-8 reticle available in MOA or MRAD based variants.
The EBR-8 reticle is etched on glass and facilitates rapid shooting from point blank out to 600 yards (approx.550 meters) with popular .223/5.56mm and .308/7.62mm loads. This reticle also can be used with a wide variety of other calibers and loads using the ballistic drop compensation hashmarks.
The reticle is illuminated in red, and its brightness can be manually activated, deactivated, and adjusted manually via a dial located on the left side of the scope tube. The dial also dubs as the seat for the single CR2032 battery that powers the illumination system. Twelve brightness levels are available, two of which are compatible with night vision devices.
Additionally, the Vortex Optics Strike Eagle 1-10x24 FFP low-power variable riflescope features a built-in motion-activated shake-awake system that turns on reticle illumination on when motion is detected, and shuts it down automatically after ten minutes to save power.
Magnification is controlled by a dial located at the base of the eyepiece, allowing seamless and fluid transition from pure 1x for CQB applications to a full 10x for maximum accuracy at the longest range.
A clip-on ring with a quick-throw level comes issued from factory with each Strike Eagle 1-10x24 FFP riflescope to provide even easier transition and faster adaptability to the ever-changing conditions at the range or on the field.
Depending on the version, the reticle can be adjusted for both windage and elevation on a 110 or 32 MRAD range, through ¼ MOA or 0.1 MRAD per click, 10 MOA or 25 MRAD per revolution turrets, which are also capped to prevent accidental loss of zero and to protect them against shocks, drops, scratches, and against infiltration of water, dust, mud, and any other potentially harmful element.
A premium high-definition optical system delivers impressive resolution, edge-to-edge sharpness, greatly reduces chromatic aberration, and guarantees bright, high-contrast images, while the ultra-hard Armortek exterior lens coatings defend against scratches, oil, and dirt.
Standing at 254 mm / 10" in overall length and weighing in at 612 grams (21.6 oz), the Vortex Optics Strike Eagle 1-10x24 FFP riflescope offers a 137,16 mt / 150 yards parallax, a 9,4 cm / 3.7" eye relief, and a field of view that ranges between 3,25 mt and 3,8 mt at 100 meters (109.6' - 11.5' @ 100 yds) depending on the selected magnification level
The Vortex Optics Strike Eagle 1-10x24 FFP riflescope is O-ring sealed and nitrogen-purged, and certified fogproof, waterproof and shockproof, capable of operating under the heaviest levels of recoil and in extreme temperatures.
