The Sightmark Latitude 20-60x80 XD spotting scope offers high magnification and exceptional image definition in a sturdy package, thanks to the rigid, rubberized chassis that makes it ready to face the harshest conditions
Not just optical sights. The Sightmark brand is also well known for spotting scopes and other observation optics, all manufactured and sold with the same spirit as the company’s red dot sights and riflescopes: to provide quality and cost-effective products able to satisfy the needs and preferences of as many types of customers as possible, from sport shooters to hunters, down to local law enforcement agencies and operators.
A philosophy perfectly incarnated by the Sightmark Latitude 20-60x80 XD spotting scope: a tool for long-range precision shooting training and competition, long-range precision hunting specialties – including mountain hunting – down to simple wildlife glassing.
The Sightmark Latitude 20-60×80 XD spotting scope is built on a single-piece lightweight aluminum alloy scope that’s rubber-coated to withstand scratching, shocks and drops, chemicals, bad weather, and adverse conditions in general.
Sightmark’s Latitude 20-60×80 XD is Nitrogen-purged and filled, and IP67-certified to be fog-proof, dustproof, and waterproof up to 1 mt / 3ft for one hour. It will operate reliably at a range of extreme temperatures ranging between -20°C to +50°C (that’s-4°F to +122°F).
The optical system of the Sightmark Latitude 20-60×80 XD spotting scope is based on a Porro prism, which while resulting in an overall bulkier design – the Latitude 20-60×80 XD is 394 mm / 15.5” long, 146 mm / 5.75” tall, 95 mm / 3.76” wide, and weighs in at approximately 1,91 kg (67.7 oz) – is conclusive of excellently three-dimensional, deep images, with bright colors, and a wide field of view, which in this specific case goes from 43,7 to 14,5 meters at 1 km (131.1 to 43.5 ft at 100 yards) depending on the selected magnification level, with no image distortion.
The fully multi-coated, extra-low dispersion optical glass lenses, the high-diameter objective (80mm) and the extremely twilight factor (40-69.3) are also conclusive of high image quality and excellent optical performances even on low environmental lights conditions.
All relevant controls of the Sightmark Latitude 20-60×80 XD are located on the eyepiece, in form of two dials: the one closer to the eyepiece lens is the focus dial, while the one right on the front of it allows the user to adjust the magnification factor according to his or her needs at the moment.
A built-in tripod mount is found right underneath the rubberized aluminum chassis of the Latitude 20-60×80 XD; a set of screw sockets located underneath, on top, and on the sides of the body allow the installation of Picatinny rail segments, with two being provided with each scope to make it compatible with different types of supports and accessories.
It’s a pity that the scope is not equipped with an ARCA Swiss mount, an ever more popular photographic interface that allows quick detach feartures to any kind of tripods. On the other hand, the Picatinny rails allow users to install accessories such as a laser rangefinder, right on the Latitude 20-60×80 XD, turning a single device into a complete spotting platform for long-range precision shooting or tactical applications.
Each Sightmark Latitude 20-60×80 XD spotting scope comes with a set of lens covers and a protective carry pouch, and is backed by Sightmark’s Warranty Policy. For pricing and availability check the official Sightmark website or refer to your local distributor or reseller.
