MAGNIFICATION
Contrary to the original Core Series’ magnification range which varied from 2-7 all the way up to 6-24, the Core 2.0 Series of riflescopes has a simplified European standard magnification range of 3-9, 3-12 and 4-16, which are more suitable for general hunting and shooting purposes.
This range provides a balance between field of view and precision, allowing hunters to quickly acquire targets at close range while still taking long-range shots with accuracy.
OBJECTIVE LENSE SIZE
The larger objective lens featured in the Core 2.0 Series is a significant upgrade from the older models. With variations in diameter of 50, and 56, this lens allows for more light to enter the scope, resulting in improved image clarity and brightness.
This feature can be especially beneficial for hunters who need to make accurate shots in low-light conditions such as dawn, dusk or in thick forests. Also, a larger objective lens can provide a larger exit pupil, which makes it easier to acquire and maintain a sight picture, even if the shooter's eye isn't perfectly aligned with the scope.

RETICLES
Depending on the riflescope model, the Core 2.0 Series offers 2 different reticles – the duplex reticle, and the HDR2 (Hunter Dot Reticle 2). While the duplex reticle is the ultimate hunting standard, the HDR2 has some more unique features, that lie in the design of the holdovers.
The HDR2’s features a floating dot and crosshairs with a 20 MOA spacing distance between both vertically and horizontally. The HDR reticle is optimized for quick target acquisition, making it ideal for hunting various game sizes. Below the center aiming dot are 2 sub tensions with windage and elevation holdovers.
The elevation holdovers are at 5 MOA and 10 MOA with 3 and 4 MOA windage holdovers respectively. This allows hunters and shooters to make precise shots at longer ranges with greater ease and accuracy.
DURABILITY
Sightmark strives for durability – this is why the new Core 2.0 riflescopes’ bodies are made out of Aluminum 6061-T6.
While the original Core Series was also made out of aluminium, the new version’s T6 rating is the striking difference – this type of rating ensures maximum durability of the body.
The 6061 aluminum alloy is one of the most common and versatile for extrusion. It is generally referred to as structural aluminum since its strength makes it ideal for structural applications.
In addition to the hard body, the Core 2.0 Series is Fully-Multi coated, as well as IPX7 – water and dustproof, ensuring a long-lasting hunting experience for the users.
