New for September 2026, SIG Sauer expands its line of ZULU6-HDX Pro image-stabilized binoculars with the launch of the ZULU6-HDX Pro 42mm series: an upgrade over the basic ZULU6-HDX design (first introduced in 2020) aimed at offering improved performance and featuring SIG Sauer's 4th generation optical image stabilization with two user-selectable models: OmniScan, for smooth and dynamic scanning; and the all-new OmniLock, for a better hold on distant detail. This choice allows users to adapt their device to changing viewing conditions and deliver maximum image stability when it matters most.
SIG Sauer's new ZULU6-HDX PRO 42mm binoculars offers a dramatically expanded field of view – 3.4, 4.2 or 4.3 Degrees depending on the configuration – that makes target acquisition faster and viewing more immersive, while the completely redesigned HDX PRO optical system combines new ED (extra-low dispersion) glass lenses, prisms, and prism coatings to significantly increase light transmission, reduce glare, and improve brightness and color resolution across the entire image.
Manufactured around a rugged and solid tan thermoplastic body with a rubber armor finish for maximum resistance in all conditions, and based on a Schmidt-Pechan prism, the SIG Sauer ZULU6-HDX Pro 42mm image-stabilized binoculars are powered by two readily available, commercial AA batteries, offering up to 40 hours of continuous runtime thanks in no small parts to its 10-minute auto-shutoff power-saving functionality.
The prism architecture has also been redesigned, and the relevant advanced coatings reelaborated, to contribute to a significant improvement in optical performance over the previous entries in the ZULU6-HDX Pro line.
Available in four configurations – 12x42mm, 14x42mm, 16x42mm, and 20x42mm – the new ZULU6-HDX Pro 42mm image-stabilized binoculars offer an interpupillary distance of 56mm to 72mm, a 5-meters near focus, a +/- 3 diopter adjustment range, and a 22.45 twilight factor, which combine to make them extremely comfortable to operate by every user and highly performing even in ultra low environmental light conditions.
The ZULU6-HDX Pro 42mm binoculars are also compatible with SIG Sauer's own adapter for tripods and window mounts – sold separately – manufactured out of black glass-filled nylon and offering ARCA-SWISS footprint as well as a 1/4"-20 threaded insert for broad compatibility.
Enhanced ergonomics, a 3° image compensation angle, and IPX7 waterproof and fogproof construction complete a platform built for extended glassing in the most demanding environments allow the ZULU6-HDX Pro 42mm binoculars to deliver the most advanced stabilized viewing experience SIG Sauer has built so far, perfect for all uses from scanning expansive terrain to locking onto distant detail.
