UMAREX Heckler & Koch HK-33 GBB airsoft rifle
IWA OutdoorClassics 2026 – UMAREX introduces a gas blowback-operated replica of Heckler & Koch's quintessential HK-33 assault rifle
New for 2026 from UMAREX – a global leader in the manufacture of airsoft replicas and airguns for target shooting, skirmishing, collecting, and training – is a new gas blowback operated replica of the Heckler & Koch HK-33 assault rifle.
First introduced in 1968, the HK-33 was Heckler & Koch's first ever 5.56x45mm rifle, basically a scaled-down G3 using the same roller-delayed blowback working system. Adopted and fielded by military and law enforcement agencies in over thirty Countries, many of which later produced it under license, the HK-33 is one of Heckler & Koch's most iconic firearms.
UMAREX, officially licensed to manufacture airsoft replicas based on Heckler & Koch firearms for global sales, decided to go for a late pattern HK-33, featuring a full-length barrel, fixed stock, and detachable magazine sized after the original 30-rounder.

The magazine holds 35 6mm BBs, and also dubs as a reservoir for the Green Gas used for propulsion. Going for Green Gas instead than electric or CO² allows this replica to offer realistic recoil.
The robust steel stamping body and glass-fiber-reinforced polymer closely emulate the original and give this replica an authentic feeling, including in weight. A steel cocking lever, selector and sights matching those of the original complete the replica's convincing looks.
Other features include a factory-fitted NPAS, adjustable Hop-Up, and a M14x1 CCW threaded barrel for standard tracer units and other accessories. The official UMAREX HK-33 replica should hit distributors very soon.
