Glock Gen.6 pistols
SHOT Show 2026 – Glock finally publicly showcased the sixth generation of its legendary pistols, currently available in four variants
Well over a month after their official announcement, the Gen6 Glock pistols have finally been publicly showcased at the 2026 SHOT Show.
Originally designed to eliminate compatibility with the dreaded "Glock switch", the Glock Gen6 pistols sport a wide array of functional and ergonomic improvements over the previous generations, including a completely new slip-proof texture on the grip and indexing points on the frame, a flat-face trigger, a single captive return spring, a fenced slide stop, interchangeable grip backstraps, and an optics-ready slide featuring a completely new optics mount that departs from both the previously used MOS and the more recent COA systems.
As of today, four variants of the Glock pistol series are available in Gen6: the classic Glock 17, now featuring a slightly shorter frame; the compact Glock 19; and the cross-over Glock 45 and Glock 47 models.
The Glock Gen6 pistols hit the shelves in the US on Jan.20, at an MSRP of $745.
