New for 2025 from FN America, the FN Reflex XL MRD semi-automatic pistol is a new take on the FN Reflex micro-compact that was first introduced in April 2023. Extended to an overall length of 6.75" (17,1 cm) and featuring a 3.8" (9,65 cm) barrel while remanining on the low side in terms of overall width, the new Reflex XL MRD aims at providing a longer-range, more accurate alternative for concealed carry, personal defense, home and property protection, and certain professional/duty purposes with minimum printing.

Available in black or flat dark earth, the FN Reflex XL MRD is built around a polymer frame with a slimline accessory rail patterned after the Glock 43X MOS rail, compatible with SureFire XSC and Streamlight TLR-7 subcompact flashlights. The magazine catch is reversible: magazines hold ten, fifteen, or eighteen rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition.

The slide of the FN Reflex XL MRD features easy-grip front and rear slide cuts, requiring a low level of force to rack manually; comes fitted with a high-visibility tritium front night sight with orange-painted ring paired with a squared, all-black squared U-notch; and is optics-ready, compatible with micro red dot optics that share the Shield RMSc or Holosun 507K footprints.

An internal hammer-fired pistol, the FN Reflex XL MRD also features ~5 lb, single-action-only trigger and no manual safety, opting instead for multiple internal passive safeties including firing pin block, trigger safety and fire control safety.
