Showcased at the 2024 edition of IWA by the Czech-based Créapeiron S.R.O. company, the Elysien pistol is an Art Nouveau style reinterpretation of the classic CZ-75 design, available in two extremely limited editions for a selected number of chosen ones

The Créapeiron Elysien semi-automatic pistol was undoubtedly the biggest head turner at the 2024 edition of IWA. Manufactured in the Czech Republic, the Elysien is more than just a pistol: it is a work of art, inspired in its lines and aesthetics to the Art Nouveau movement (also known as "Liberty" in some European Countries) and aimed to a very small number of élite customers.
From a strictly technical point of view, Créapeiron's Elysien is an IPSC-oriented semi-automatic pistol, hammer-fired, based on the same modified Browning locking system used by the venerable CZ-75 and its derivatives, chambered in 9mm Luger, and feeding through the same 19-rounds magazines used by the CZ SP-01 and Shadow II pistols. But the Créapeiron Elysien is much more than that: it's a "pistol with a soul", a "gun for the gods".

The Créapeiron Elysien is entirely manufactured out of steel, with sleek and slender design lines, and boasts a broad range of totally unique features, such as a TSL (Triangular Self-Locking) barrel, with a (ditto) triangular outer profile.
Given the extremely tight machining tolerances of components such as the slide, the frame, and the barrel itself, the coupling between the slide and the TSL barrel allows the Elysien to retain the relative technical simplicity of the CZ-75's modified Browning lockup while offering levels of stability, and thus performance, very close to those of fixed-barrel pistols.
Additionally, the unique design of the frame provides a natural contact point for the shooter's index finger on top of the trigger guard; and the extremely low bore axis and 108-degrees grip angle facilitate a higher grip and a better controllability. The Créapeiron Elysien is definitely not just made to look good, but also to perform flawlessly.
Additionally, the Créapeiron Elysien is unique in its genious magnetic trigger regulator (MTR): a small magnet, placed inside the trigger stop inside the trigger guard, can be manually adjusted in two different positions to customize trigger travel.
The Elysien's M-Grips (Magnetic Grips) – decorated by a stunning fractal-inspired motif and available in different sizes – can similarly be easily removed from, and attached to, the grip without tools, and solidly held together by a magnet.
The Elysien's smooth, sleek slide runs on internal rails, pretty much CZ-75 style, and features front and rear slide serrations, a set of compensation ports on both sides near the muzzle, a fixed fiber-optic front post, and an adjustable rear sight inserted on a CZ-style dovetail, allowing its removal and its replacement with a micro red dot sight mount. Alternatively, a fixed mount can be installed over the slide and attached on both sides to the rear porion of the frame via Hex screws.

The Créapeiron Elysien is available in two variants, both available in limited quantities.
The "Genesis" edition (a gun "meant for Gods"), with its shiny stainless finish, comes from factory with three magazines, a set of Grade 5 titanium grips, a fixed mount with a factory-issued Holosun 508T GR micro red dot sight, a clip-on beveled magazine well, an adjustable rear sight for the dovetail on the slide, a dedicated Czech-made Helornis Heart6 hinge holster, certificate of uniqueness, an authentic frame-slide-case cover seal, and a dedicated case with an Apple AirTag GPS tracker.
The Genesis edition was manufactured in seven samples, one of which is retained by the designer of the Elysien pistol, Mr. Jan Lysak; the remaining six samples are available at a starting price of 10.000 € (US$10,862.50).
The "Soul" edition (a pistol "for Chosen ones") is available in 99 samples, and is virtually identical to the Genesis model except for the glossy black finish and the slide-mounted, factory-issued Holosun EPS Carry GR micro red dot sight.
Customers who purchase the Créapeiron Elysien's Soul edition can decide whether to have the magazine release catch on the right or left side, and can pick a "Soul name" for their pistol, which will be carved on the side grip, case cover, or slide-frame seal at their preference.
The Créapeiron Elysien pistol in the Soul edition retails at a starting price of 5.000 € US$5,431.25), excl. taxes and other fees.
Currently the Créapeiron S.R.O. company does not seem to have a distributor anywhere outside of the Czech Republic. The only way for international customers to purchase a Créapeiron Elysien pistol is to select and configure their Elysien pistol on the official website and wait for the Company to get in touch for arrangements.
