Freshly introduced at IWA 2019, the Beretta 92X Performance semi-automatic pistol is the latest iteration of the most popular modern Italian pistol ever, revisited to meet the needs of modern IPSC and USPSA shooters.
Built around a full steel frame, replacing the classic aluminum alloy frame, the Beretta 92X Performance is about 500 grams (17 oz.) heavier than the standard Beretta M92-FS.
The frame of the Beretta 92X Performance pistol is railed and features an ambidextrous safety, moved away from the slide, that can be flipped up only when the hammer is cocked and features no decocking mechanism. The frame safety lever is available in three different sizes for superior ergonomics.
The Beretta 92X pistol also offers a Vertec-style grip, with a funneled magazine well, and a raised profile near the magazine release enabling the shooter's hand to sit as high as possible on the hilt, which itself is also oversized to enable a deeper hold; along with the higher overall weight (1,345 grams / 2,96 oz empty), this should result in better control over the muzzle climb.
Also new on the Beretta 92X Performance is the Xtreme-5 trigger, conceived for fast operation, with an “out of the box” weight of 1,5 kg (3.3 oz.) in single action and 3 kg (6.6 oz) in double action, and a reset of merely 1mm (0.039”).

The Beretta 92X Performance pistol features a Brigadier-style slide with vertical, saw-toothed front and rear cocking serrations; a fully adjustable rear sight; and a fiber-optic front sight.
Built in 9mm only, the Beretta 92X Performance feeds through extended double-stack magazines offering a capacity that varies from a minimum of 15+1 rounds for Production matches up to 26 rounds for Standard and Open division competitions. All outer metal are protected by a Nistan low-glare finish.
