Hauling all the way from Italy, Hunting Log is a brand new, independent website with an experienced author, dedicated to a new view of the hunting world in its entirety – from hunting guns, ammunition, optics and accessories to ethics and conservation efforts
Hunting Log is on-line: a brand new website, hauling all the way from Italy, dedicated to hunting and outdoors in all its glory, but from a new perspective. Helmed by renown photographer, expert hunter and long-established outdoor writer Matteo Brogi, Hunting Log is the sum of decades of first-hand experience and passion, in a modern, accessible, and complete format.
Updated weekly, but backed by daily updates from dedicated Social Media profiles, Hunting Log debuts with an ambitious goal: provide the Italian and European public with a new view on everything hunting and outdoors, with a specific focus on hunting ethics, hunters' responsibilities, and conservation efforts.
In most of the world – and of course in Europe – this new approach is weakening anti-hunting movements and their push for restrictive legislations by emphasizing the key role that hunters play in the protection of the environment and in the control and conservation of animal species.
By contrast, the Italian hunting world has allowed itself to fall behind schedule under this point of view. As a result, the pool of active hunters in the Bel Paese is rapidly aging and shrinking, and centuries of hunting culture could soon be a thing of the past. Efforts like those put on Hunting Log by its editor in chief and staff writers are but a piece of the puzzle of initiatives that strive to revive what used to be a great Italian tradition, while at the same time bringing it up to speed with the newest approaches and the responsibilities of modern-day hunters.
Hunting Log will still host numerous reviews and tests of hunting rifles and shotguns, dedicated ammunition, accessories, and optics, but will do so with its distinct approach, dedicated to highlighting the products that will better suit the lifestyle of 21st Century hunting, with sustainability and ethical hunting always in mind.
The Hunting Log website is already up – albeit, as of today, only in Italian – and so are its Facebook and Instagram profiles and its YouTube channel. A new occasion (possibly one of the last?) for many Italian hunters to approach a new way to conceive and live their passion and sport, ensuring its survival and ushering in a new era of prosperity against the rabid attacks of radical anti-hunting movements.
