Fiocchi of America new ammunition for 2019
SHOT Show 2019 – Fiocchi of America showcased several new entries in its already vast product line aimed at the U.S. consumer market
Fiocchi of America is the US-based branch of Fiocchi Munizioni, the most important ammunition manufacturer of Italy and one of the most important in the world. Fiocchi of America introduced several new rifle loads at the 2019 edition of the NSSF SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
New for 2019, the already popular Fiocchi Range Dynamics line of target practice, leisure and training ammunition, originally launched in 2018 in several pistol calibers will be available in three new rifle calibers conceived for modern sporting rifle platforms, specifically for AR-15 and AR-10 rifle variants. Currently this includes two 5,56mm/.223 Remington loads with 55 and 62 grain FMJ BT bullets; a 7,62mm/.308 Winchester load with a 150-grain FMJ BT ball; and a .300 AAC “Blackout” load, likewise using 150g FMJ BT bullets.
Also new the Fiocchi Scirocco II line of big game hunting ammunition, loaded using polymer-tipped, bonded balls patterned after the already popular Extrema Rifle One. As of today, the Fiocchi Scirocco line includes a .308 Winchester, 150g entry and a 6.5 Creedmoor load with 123g SST Polymer Tip boat-tail balls.
Last, but not least, Fiocchi of America’s line of self-defense rifle ammunition, conceived for civilian and law enforcement applications alike, now includes a variant dubbed the “5.56 NATO”, sold in tan boxes, but actually loaded on M193 specs with 55 grains FMJ BT bullets.
