Wheeler Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool
From one of the most famous and prominent brands of the Battenfeld Technologies group comes an interesting multi-compatible tool for the installation and adjustment of iron sights on basically every semi-automatic handgun available on the market
Among the new products launched during the year 2016 by Wheeler Engineering – a Battenfeld Technologies group brand – is the Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool, a multipurpose and multi-compatible device that allows the installation and adjustment of iron sights on handguns.
A precision machined unit, the Wheeler Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool was primarily conceived – as its own name suggests – as a professional instrument that would replace a multitude of platform-specific or proprietary handgun sight adjustment tools in the workshops of gunsmiths and other experts of gun care and maintenance.
It is, however, simple, solid and sturdy enough to be safely employed by those shooters and gun owners who have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform certain adjustments and operations on their firearms all by themselves.
Wheeler's Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool is essentially a vise featuring a series of adjustable clamps that will safely capture the slide of any semi-automatic handgun available on the market so that it will not deform; a large four-post drive knob pushes the sight prong sideways, allowing an iron front or rear sight to move within its dovetailed seat in the slide.
The structure of the Wheeler Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool features adjustment marks for increased accuracy.
Wheeler Engineering's Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool can be adjusted by reversing the sight prong assembly to accommodate squared slides, like Glock slides; not only it will accurately and easily adjust sights per windage on a dovetail, but it can be used to remove dovetailed sights outright and replace them with night sights, high-visibility sights, rear slide ramps for red dot sights, and others.
Wheeler Engineering sells the Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool directly on its website at a price of $239.00. Unfortunately export shipments are not available for on-line purchases; but since the Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool was launched on the market much after its first presentation – at the 2016 SHOT Show – export to foreign customers through authorized international distributors should kick off soon enough.
