We've already discussed the Wuben brand, describing their Wuben X4 Compact flashlight, a general-purpose flashlight with a distinctive design. It was a bestseller, selling nearly 90,000 units in the first five days of its launch in September 2025.

Also in 2025, Wuben introduced the Wuben T4 tactical flashlight, specifically designed as a tactical flashlight for security personnel who prefer a very compact flashlight (for example, plainclothes personnel), making it ideal for everyday use for personal and home defense.

At 97 mm long, 30 mm thick at the base, and 33 mm thick at the head, and weighing just 104 grams including the battery, the Wuben T4 is truly compact.

There are two variants of the Wuben T4 currently available: a bronze version with a 7075-T6 lightweight alloy body; and a black version with a 6061-T6 alloy body. The only differences are the material and color; both variants feature an electric blue tungsten steel belt clip and a matching blue tungsten steel reinforcement on the serrated head.

The reinforced head protects the optical glass lens, allowing the flashlight to be used as an emergency glassbreaker or as a blunt instrument for close-range self-defense. Its compact size allows for one-handed use, and the belt clip can be replaced with a polymer ring (sold separately) for a more secure grip.

The spotlight houses a single OSRAM KW CSLPM1.TG white LED with 6,500 Kelvin, which can deliver up to 40,200 candela of light intensity for a maximum range of 401 meters. Power is provided by a single rechargeable 18350 lithium battery, which can be removed in an emergency and replaced with a more common CR123 battery.

The flashlight is rechargeable via a USB-C port, accessed by unscrewing a threaded ring located immediately behind the head of the spotlight. The USB Type-C port allows you to charge the flashlight using the included USB cable, connecting it to a universal wall charger (not included), or via a portable power bank. A two-color LED indicates the charge status.

At the tail end of the flashlight are all the controls: the classic rubberized power button, as well as a rotating dial that allows you to switch between LOCK, DUTY, and TACTICAL modes.

In Tactical mode, the tail button acts as a momentary on/off switch: the flashlight stays on as long as you press it, and turns off when you release it. Pressing the button halfway activates the flashlight's maximum brightness level, 850 lumens, while pressing it fully activates strobe mode, also at 850 lumens.

In Duty mode, you can keep the flashlight on by pressing the rubberized button all the way down; a lighter press switches from the maximum output level (850 lumens) to an intermediate level of 150 lumens and a reading or navigation level of just 5 lumens.

In Duty mode, when permanently on, if the maximum output level is selected, the Wuben T4 flashlight will automatically switch from 850 lumens to "just" 350 lumens after one minute to conserve energy and protect the circuitry from overheating. In this mode, a fully charged battery can provide up to an hour of continuous use, rising to two and a half hours for the intermediate 150 lumen level and reaching a whopping 70 hours for the 5 lumen navigation level.

In Lock mode, the dial prevents the flashlight from accidentally turning on.

The Wuben T4 remembers the last brightness level selected, and after turning it off, pressing the power button again activates the next brightness level. To be honest, this is the only aspect we don't like, because the memory function only makes sense if it allows us to reactivate the flashlight at the exact brightness level we were using when we turned it off.

The Wuben T4 tactical flashlight is IP68 certified, meaning it can withstand drops from heights of up to 1.5 meters and immersion in water up to 2 meters deep for one hour. In addition to the rechargeable battery and USB cable,
