First introduced at the 2022 edition of the EOS expo in Verona (northern Italy), the Fabarm SDASS Pro Forces Stage 2 and SDASS Pro Telescopic Stage 2 12-gauge pump-action tactical shotguns have finally been launched on the international markets in early October.

Following the strictly high manufacturing quality standards of the Italian company, the SDASS Pro Stage 2 shotguns are radically modernized variants of FABARM's well-known SDASS line of pump-action shotguns, and were conceived specifically for home and property defense, law enforcement, private security, tactical purposes, and practical shooting.

Both built around a 7075-T6 lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum alloy receiver with a steel 51 cm / 20" barrel and a ventilated barrel shroud, the SDASS Pro Stage 2 pump-action shotguns are embelished and made even more resistant to aggressive elements by a thick, uniform carbon grey Cerakote finish on all outer metal surfaces.

The magazine tube hosts up to seven 12-gauge shotshells; an eight shell can be loaded in the chamber, which is compatible with 70mm / 2.¾" or 76 mm / 3" shells.

Both SDASS Pro Stage 2 pump-action shotgun come from factory with a folding FAB Defense FBS front sight and FAB Defense RBS rear sight, as well as a cantilever Picatinny top rail for optics. Both models also share the typical FABARM style of railed, black polymer handguard; the action is spring-assisted for quicker, smoother operation.

The FABARM SDASS Pro Forces Stage 2 pump-action shotgun comes with a fixed comb stock and vertical pistol grip; by contrast, the FABARM SDASS Pro Telescopic Stage 2 features a rubberized ergonomic FAB Defense Gradus grip and a collapsible FAB Defense GL-CORE CP buttstock with adjustable cheek riser.

Both models feature a swiveling front sling attachment point and a wider rear attachment ring on the left side of the receiver for quick-release single-point slings. The SDASS Pro Telescopic Stage 2 model also comes with QD sling swivel cups on both sides of the collapsible buttstock.

Additionally, both variants offer a parallel comb stock design with a 10-degrees attachment inclination, which aligns the shooter's eyes to the sights quickly and more naturally for faster target acquisition.

Like all FABARM shotguns, both SDASS Pro Stage 2 variants have been test-proofed to withstand up to 1630 BAR in pressure and are certified by the Italian National Proofing House to offer long-term reliability when used with steel shot, even with FABARM's own 82 mm chokes.

The FABARM SDASS Pro Stage 2 shotguns come from factory with an extended 97 mm choke and a threaded-on black aluminum alloy "breacher" type flash hider.

The FABARM SDASS Pro Stage 2 pump-action shotguns are substantially identical both in terms of overall length (the Pro Telescopic stands at 93 cm / 36.61", while the Pro Forces model is 99 cm / 38.97" long), and overall weight (respectively 3,43 kg / 7.5 lbs and 3,44 kg / 7.58 lbs approx.), and are covered by a 2-years warranty.

As of today, a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 1.295€ for the FABARM SDASS Pro Forces Stage 2 and 1.420€ for the SDASS Pro Telescopic Stage 2 has been announced for Italy; distribution on foreign markets is gearing up and is already underway in some Countries, or will start in early 2023.
